Head Age Group Coach
Quinn just moved to New Hampshire after finishing school in May at Concordia University Irvine with a bachelors in English. She has been swimming since she was seven years old; began with the local rec team, moved on to club, and finished with college. She's been coaching swimming for the past four years; most recently with Newport Beach Swimming in California. She has been busy exploring the East Coast the past 6 months, so she is very excited to be a part of the Exeter swimming community!
Before she began her coaching career, Benson swam for the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, where she was a standout sprinter in free and back events for three seasons. She went on to the University of Kansas, where she completed her eligibility for the Jayhawks and earned her Master’s degree in Sociology.
As a coach, Benson got her start as a graduate assistant for Kansas and assistant masters swimming coach in Lawrence, Kansas in 1997 and 1998. She later became the head swimming coach for the YMCA Green Dolphins Swimming club in Wausau, Wisconsin. She has also worked as an assistant swimming coach for the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, where she assisted in recruiting and worked specifically with the sprint group.
After moving to the Seacoast area, Benson coached with the Portsmouth High School Swim Team and spent 8 years as an assistant coach with the UNH Wildcats Swim Team. UNH has seen tremendous success and national recognition during that time, producing numerous America East record holders and NCAA qualifiers. Nicole actively swims masters, holding several New England records and placing as an All American. She and her husband Tom have five children: Andrew, Amy, Alison, Anika and Ada.
Molly Cronin is a Haverhill high school graduate, where she also swam on the swim team. She swam competitively throughout her childhood, starting at an early age. Molly taught lessons for Solo from 2013 to 2015. She has lifeguarded at Cedardale in Bradford, as well as Salisbury beach. Molly will be working mainly with Intro 1 & 2.
