Coaching Staff Information

Our wonderful, professional staff of certified coaches are here to support your needs. If your questions are related to workouts, meets, events, goal setting, group levels and other swimming specific questions, please contact one of the coaches. It would be best to email the coaches who work with your swimmers. For all questions related to administrative issues such as dues, safety, policy, procedures or philosophy; please contact one of the board members directly.

Brittani Jopson

Coach Jopson grew up in Geneseo, NY and attended Geneseo Central School. While a high school student, she was a four-year member of the GCS Varsity Swim Team. During this time Brittani also worked as a lifeguard at the Geneseo pool and had the opportunity to observe countless Mercury Swimming practices. With the very able mentorship of veteran Coach Ty Monroe, she subsequently learned the ropes of coaching as well as the process of guiding and instructing young developing swimmers. In January 2016, Brittani then took over as the principal coach of Mercury's developmental swimming program. Along with her work as swim coach and lifeguard, Coach Jopson is also attending SUNY Geneseo, where she is pursuing a degree as a History and Adolescent Education major.    

Miranda Deleeuw

Coach Deleeuw grew up in Avon, NY, attending Avon Central School. During her high school years, she was a member of the Avon Braves Swimming and Diving Team. During the off-season, Miranda swam for Mercury Aquatics, finishing up her 8 year career with the club. Having been coached by knowledgeable and leading coaches Ty Monroe and Caleb Ludlow, Miranda was introduced to many different coaching techniques. She continued her swimming career at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania where she swam as an Edinboro Lady Fighting Scot. She has had many years of coaching experience for Avon’s Summer Recreation Learn to Swim program. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences in May 2018, Miranda is currently pursuing another degree in Early Elementary Education and Special Education.
