I was born in Odessa, TX. I moved to Palm Springs, CA with my family when I was 8 and lived there for 7 years, before moving back to Odessa. I always loved the water, but I didn’t become serious about competitive swimming until my sophomore year when I moved back to Odessa. There, I joined the swim team at Permian High School. I swam for Permian until I graduated in 2014 and also joined the Odessa Aquatic Club during my senior year.  I helped coach and teach technique as one of the older and more experienced swimmers on the club team. After I graduated, I continued to swim club during the long course season. I swam at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin for one year before transferring to the University of North Texas where I continue my education in Kinesiology. My events included the 50 freestyle, 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke, 200 IM, and 200 breaststroke.

I have been swimming for five years, and swam when I was younger. I started at 11 years old, and then continued swimming through the high school varsity team my freshman year, and still today. Aside from coaching metro I work as a lifeguard and swim instructor, as well as volunteer around my community.
