Matt brings seventeen years of coaching experience to AMFY.
He previously coached at the Gahanna YMCA in Columbus, Ohio, where
he coached multiple YMCA qualifiers and helped grow the team's size
and performance. He currently resides in Greenville where he
manages Flat Ridge Training Center, a horse boarding and training
business. He lives with his wife, Alisha, who is a general surgeon
at Wayne hospital. Matt swam for Wittenberg University in college,
and the Beavercreek YMCA throughout his age-group career.
Matt works mainly with the Gold group swimmers, but will assist
with Silver and Blue as well.
looks forward to serving the AMFY Waves swim team once again this
year! She is especially blessed with the talent of working
well with larger groups of children as she has been successfully
home-schooling her 10 children. She has coached the St.
Marys Seahawks and the the Wapakoneta Waves summer team in
past years. She has taught stroke development to all age

Silver group swimmers on Thursdays.
Carrie is excited to start her
fifth year with the AMFY Waves. In 2015, she assisted with the
White Group and transitioned to coach in 2017. She is a
graduate of Ohio Northern University with a degree in elementary
education. Her passion is teaching children in the classroom and in
the pool. She enjoys teaching young swimmers the fundamental
techniques for each stroke. Carrie works with White, Blue and
Scott is entering his fifth year coaching for the AMFY Waves.
He enjoys coaching the Red group twice a week and watching
the swimmers improve their technique throughout the season. Scott
has taught fourth grade for seventeen years at St. Marys
Intermediate School. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Wright
State University and Communicate
Scott works primarily with the Red groups.
is excited to share her swimming experience with the AMFY swimmers
in her second year with the team. She has competed in YMCA and USA
swimming for a combined 8 years. Following her swimming career, she
coached swimmers of all ages for 3+ years, including both state and
national qualifiers. Hannah is a certified swim instructor for the
YMCA and is the head swim coach for the New Bremen Summer League
Swim Team. She enjoys staying active and spending most of her time
at the pool.
will be coaching the Blue Group on Thursdays and assisting the
Silver and Gold Groups as well.
brings nearly 15 years of coaching experience to
swam for the Coldwater Cudas and the Auglaize-Mercer YMCA.
her coaching career with the Coldwater Cudas summer swim team in
1999. She also coached the Wapakoneta high school varsity
swim team and the St. Henry Stingrays summer swim team. Angie
volunteered with AMFY for the past two years, and this year she
transitioned to a coach. In 2006, she graduated from BGSU
with a degree in Middle Childhood Education. She resides in
St. Henry where she teaches 5th grade at St. Henry Middle School
and lives with her husband, Jim, and their five kids: Alaina,
Alexis, Easton, Livvy, and Evan.
Angie will be working with the Blue and Silver groups on
Tuesdays and Red and White groups on Thursdays.
Craig is in his second year on the AMFY coaching staff and
is no stranger to coaching. He previously worked with 11-12
and 13-14 age groups at the Beavercreek YMCA after graduating for
Wright State University, where he also swam for the Raiders. Craig
lives in Celina with his wife and three kids.
Craig will be working with the Gold group on Wednesdays.
Noah will be working with the Blue and Silver groups.
Jeanette is no stranger to AMFY as she has coached and swam
for AMFY in the past. By day she is a dental assistant, and at
night she bakes cakes for her own cake business that she started in
2016. She also is an avid Marathon runner.
Jeanette works primarily with the Red group.
