Chris A Hadden

Head Coach

Chris Hadden is a professionally certified Level IV swim coach with the American Swimming Coaches Association and United States Swimming.  Chris has been the Head Coach of USA since starting the club in 2009.  He has coached successful programs in Florida, Louisiana, the Washington, DC area, and Columbus, Ohio.  Chris was a featured speaker at the 2013 World Coach’s Clinic in New Orleans.  He was also featured on the United States Swimming’s Website under “Coaches You Should Know” for the September 2013 issue.  Chris was voted the 2012 Ohio Swimming Age Group Coach of the Year by his peers.  He spent over two years with the National Champion Curl-Burke Swim Club (now Nation's Capital Swim Club) in Washington, DC where he helped train 20 swimmers with 2000 Olympics Trial Cuts.  Five swimmers from this group competed in the 2000 Olympics!  In his career, Chris has produced 21 USA Top 16 Athletes, 68 Ohio State Champions, 10 Florida State Champions, 4 Louisiana State Champions, 11 USA Swimming Academic/Scholastic All Americans and helped produce 5 Olympic athletes.  Chris is very proud of his athlete's accomplishments in High School swimming boasting 12 Ohio State High School Champions to date.  Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The Ohio State University.  Chris has served on the Executive Board of Directors for Ohio Swimming for over 9 years.

Matt J Celik

Head Age Group Coach

Matt is beginning his seventh year with USA as the Head Age Group coach, working primarily with the competitive 9 to 12-year-old swimmers.  Over the course of his career with USA, Matt has coached three swimmers to individual state championships, has had numerous top 5 relay finishes, and elevated several swimmers to national rankings. What Matt loves about USA is the opportunity to foster the progression of swimmers at every level of our program, from first-time competitor to national team member.  Matt's competitive background includes being named an All-American swimmer at Akron Firestone High School, as well as being a 4-year letter winner and a Big Ten Championship swimmer at The Ohio State University.  Currently, Matt is pursuing his Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition.  Beyond coaching, Matt enjoys exercising at his local crossfit gym and supporting the National Champion Buckeyes!

Grant W Horton

Coach, A Group

Grant is beginning his third season coaching for USA leading the A and Stripes competitive groups as well as the Non-Competitive Intermediate group. In the summer he coaches the Hilliard Marlins in addition to USA. Grant has previously coached at Lifetime Fitness, coaching the 10 and unders as well as the Masters team. Grant swam for USA during his high school career. He is a Graduate of Dublin Coffman and a current student at The Ohio State University majoring in Finance. One of Grants favorite things about USA is the growth that takes place in his athletes. Whether it comes from swimming a 100 fly for the first time or talking to someone new at practice and becoming friends. Grant has had swimmers in his group ranked nationally in the top 100 for their age in addition to coaching numerous swimmers to the Junior Olympics. When he isn't on the pool deck you can find him watching OSU football, attending concerts, or in the library. Grant loves the sport and the ability to give back to something he is so passionate about.

KC C Vann

KC is in her sixth year of coaching with USA, working with the competitive 11-14 year old swimmers.  KC Vann grew up in Northern Virginia and swam with the Curl-Burke Swim Club.  She swam for The Ohio State University and competed and finaled at the Big Ten Championships.  KC also competed at the national level as an age group and college swimmer competing at Junior and Senior Nationals and US Open swim meets.  KC was a Top 16 swimmer in backstroke.  KC was named to the Academic All Big-10 Team and was an Academic Scholar Athlete.  KC has also competed in Masters swimming at a local and national level, placing at Masters Nationals and has been nationally ranked in the top 25 in several events.

Ashley Specht

Ashely has been coaching for United Swim Association since 2013.  In high school Ashley was a 3-time state champion in the 100 Breastroke, earned the 2007 Performance of the State Meet Award in the 100 breastroke.  She was also a Four time High School All American and ranked 14th in the nation in the 100 breast in the 16-17 age group.  Ashley was named most valuable swimmer as a sophomore and junior.  Ashley was both a State and pool recorder holder from 2009-2017.

Ashley attended college at Indiana University where she swam for the Hoosiers.  She was team captain for the 2012-13 season.  At Indiana, Ashley was named Academic All Big Ten, Three time All American.  She placed 2nd in the 100 breastroke and 3rd in the 200 breastroke at Big Ten Championships 2012-2013 and placed 15th in the 100 breast and 36th in the 200 breast at NCAA Championships 2012-2013.  Ashley qualified for the 2012 Olympic Trials and placed 21st at the event in the 100M breaststroke.

Since graduating with a BSN in Public Health at Indiana University, Ashley attended Mount Carmel School of Nursing earning a 2nd BSN.  She has worked in the NICU at Nationwide Children's Hospital since 2015.

Pamela J Lombardo

Pam is entering her second year coaching for USA.  Pam grew up in Beavercreek and swam competitively for 16 year with the Greater Dayton Swimming Association, Kettering YMCA, Beavercreek YMCA and Beavercreek High School.  Pam competed at the YMCA Nationals.  Pam holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University.  She also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the OSU Fisher College of Business.
