Coaches & Directors

The MCSD coaching staff works hard to provide all of our swimmers with fun experiences that focus on the swimming fundamentals. Our coaches challenge young people to push their limits and achieve their competitive goals within a positive team atmosphere, with the overall goal of creating a life-long love for swimming.

Our coaches are certified by USA Swimming and are members of the American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA). Our coaches stay current with age group stroke development technique and training, and they bring their expertise and enthusiuasm to the pool everyday!

If you have questions that are related to your swimmer, practices and workouts, meets, goal setting and other swimming related needs, please contact one of the coaches.

For all questions related to membership, financial aid, fundraising, board meetings, employment and other administrative issues, please contact one of the Board Members.

Thank you!

Competitive swimming provides an opportunity to set goals, work hard and achieve personal breakthroughs. Davis loves to hear the questions of competitive swimmers as they build their strokes learning how to swim fast. Thirty years ago, Davis was a dominant athlete in the state of Arizona recognized as First Team Division 4 All-State Baseball (.605 batting average), as First Team Division 4 All-State soccer player, as well as placing 6th at AZ State Championships in the 100 breaststroke.Davis went on to compete in college for Washington University in St. Louis tallying three UAA Conference Soccer Championships. In the off-season, Davis jumped in the pool for three months captaining the swim team and set a school record (and a NCAA Division III Provisional time) in the 200 medley relay (26.7 breaststroke split). He was the 1993 Washington University Outstanding Leader in the Field of Athletics for his contributions as a soccer player and swimmer as well as 1992-93 GTE Academic All-District Team. Currently, he serves as the pastor of Mendocino Presbyterian Church giving thanks for his family while swimming with the seals in Big River.
