Coaching Staff

Stefan Bill

Stefan joined Piedmont Swim Team in 2014 from St. Paul’s Boys School in London, UK, where he was the Master in Charge of Aquatics, restructuring their physical education lessons for swimming and water polo. Stefan designed St. Paul’s Aquatics swim team from the ground up and in the process helped the school win their first ever Independent Association of Prep School National Championship title. Stefan is an American Swim Coaches Association Level 5 International Age Group Coach and a 2015 ASCA/WSCA Fellow. During his tenure, PST’s membership grew from just under 70 swimmers to over 170 athletes and the team created new, long lasting and positive relationships with two additional pool facilities. Thanks to this expansion, PST was able to enrich their coaching staff with a Strength and Conditioning Coach, Head Age Group Coach and an additional Assistant Coaches. PST’s volunteer Board of Directors and Coach Stefan restructured the team immensely and with that has now their first ever Junior National level swimmers and a thriving senior and junior group that continues to grow technically, physically and mentally to become their best swimming selves.

Robert Moreside

Robert has coached swimmers of all ages and abilities, ranging from the Novice Swimmer to Canadian Olympic and World Championship Swim Trials. He is an ASCA Level 3 certified coach, played a vital part in building the Long Term Athlete Development Model for the Canadian Swim Coaches Association and brings a true love for the sport of competitive swimming to PST.

Colby Price

Colby joins us from Concord where he was a seasonal Assistant Coach for the Terrapins Swim Team; an instructor at Little Dipper Aquatic Center; and the Head Coach at Gehringer Park Swim Team.  Colby brings a wealth of technical knowledge and a knack for breaking swimming down into understandable terms and fun games for our swimmers! He attended a program in Kinesiology for sports training at Diablo Valley College and was Piedmont High School's Swim Team Head Coach for Spring, 2015, 2016 and 2019.

Brian Kiyoshi Kozono

Brian is happy to be part of the Piedmont Swim team as their new Strength and Conditioning Coach. He is a physical therapist for BIO PT as well as a sports medicine consultant for Cal Sports Med at UC Berkeley. Brian swam in high school locally at Oakland Tech, before attending UC Berkeley for undergrad, prior to earning his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at University of Southern California. His experience rehabbing and training athletes of all ages and skill levels makes him an ideal coach to help get the Piranhas moving better and stronger!
