Jonathan Faikish is extremely pleased and honored to be coaching
with the Nor-Gwyn Crabs this 2020 season. He started his swimming
career in 1987 with Nor – Gwyn and can’t wait to help
create great memories with the crabs of today as he remembers so
fondly from his time as a crab. During his younger years, Jonathan
continued swimming with the Crabs, North Penn Aquatic Club as well
as the North Penn High School until 2000 when he graduated from
North Penn High School. After the Knights, Jonathan moved on to
swim DII at Indiana University of Pennsylvania where here graduated
with a BA in Sociology. During his time at IUP, he specialized in
the 100 and 200 Butterfly as well as the 50 to 500 Freestyle.
During his college swimming career he placed top 12 every year he
competed in multiple events and was a part of several top 6 place
finishing relays. He has earned several All American Honors during
his swimming experience.
Jonathan started his coaching career in 2001 when he began coaching
with his brother Jeff at Lansdale Swim Team. After graduating from
IUP, his career really took off. Jonathan has been involved in
swimming at every level from beginner swim lessons, adaptive swim
lessons, summer club swimming programs to USA Club swimming and has
loved every second of it. He finds nothing better than helping a
swimmer learn how much more than can be with a little hard work,
and good guidance. Jonathan brings one basic philosophy to any team
he is a part of, “Every swimmer, every day!” He wants
everyone to always remember his favorite quote when training as
well, “Today I will do what you won’t, so tomorrow I
can do what you can’t”. Jonathan feels that there is
nothing better than seeing a person overcoming something they truly
thought they couldn’t and being a helping part of
it.

Hey Crabs! I am so excited to start
my sixth year coaching. This summer will also be my third year
as a Nor-Gwyn Pool manager. I began swimming for the Nor-Gwyn
Crabs at age 10, as well as with the North Penn YMCA Gators.
My freshman year of high school I started swimming for North
Penn High School. My freshman year is when I also began my
journey into the sport of water polo, which I grew to love. I
played all four years of high school and continued playing in
college at Bloomsburg University during my four years there as
well. As captain and president my last two years on the
Bloomsburg Co-Ed Club Water Polo team, I was awarded Coach of the
Year, First Team All- Conference, and All-American Honorable
Mention. This spring, I continued coaching water polo with
the North Penn community program and still enjoy teaching children
how to swim and feel that it is a valuable skill that everyone
should acquire. I have been a member of the Nor-Gwyn Pool since I
was 5 years old and I am so proud to still be associated with this
great community! I am very excited to start this season and
thrilled to be working with such an amazing staff and group of
swimmers!

Hey, Nor-Gwyn Crabs!! My name is Karlee Carminati and this will be
my second year as a swim coach. When I was 8 years old, I started

graduated there in 2017. I had the privilege to graduate being an
All-American athlete for 4 years. Now, I currently attend Towson
University in Maryland and swim on the women’s swim team. In
2018, Towson Tigers placed third in the CAA, and I took first
in the 1650 freestyle. My major is Mass Communications and I minor
in Deaf Studies. I have a passion for teaching kids how to swim and
watching them grow as an athlete in and out of the pool. I am so
excited to be welcomed into this community and I look forward to
working with this group of swimmers. Go Crabs!!
