Assistant Head Coach
Hello, my name is Alicia Carlson. I am a rising sophomore at
East Carolina University, majoring
in Exercise Physiology with plans to be a Physical Therapist. I have been swimming since I was
10 years old, beginning with summer league for the Hasentree Hammerheads as well as year-
round swimmer with the Marlins of Raleigh until I was 15. I also swam for Sanderson High
School all four years and played golf. I continue to swim on the Club swim team at East Carolina
University. I have been an active participant in swimming since year-round by being an assistant
swim coach for the Marlins of Raleigh, coaching the 8 and under and 11-12 age groups. As some
of you may remember I have been a swim coach for the Bedford Sharks the past three years
and I am so excited to continue to coach this upcoming season. I can’t wait to see all of you and
be a part of an amazing team, as always Go Sharks!!!!
Assistant Head Coach
Hi! My name is Belle Kozubowski and I just finished my first year at UNC Asheville studying Mass Communication. I love the Bedford Sharks and have been swimming or volunteering with them for over 10 years. Previously, I swam competitively for The Marlins of Raleigh for about 7 years and worked as a swim coach for MOR for 4 years. I am so excited to be returning for a second season as a Sharks coach!
Hi! My name is Caitlin Myers! I’m a rising junior at Appalachian State University where I am studying Communication Sciences and Disorders as well as Special Education. I have been swimming since I was five, and swam for the Sharks from when I was 6 until I was 18. I also swam for YOTA and Wakefield High School. During high school, I was a swim instructor at the YMCA and helped with leading their swim school sessions. I’ve been working as a lifeguard at this pool for 4 summers now, and I couldn’t be more excited to switch things up and begin coaching this summer! Go Sharks!!
My name is Allyson Kohl and I am currently an 8th grade science teacher. I was on the Bedford Sharks from when it started and when I was 18. That was roughly 9 years. After graduating high school, I became a swim coach at the YMCA. I did that for four summers before coming back to my roots on the Bedford Sharks. I look forward to being your swimmers coach! I love teaching and coaching and I am so excited to be doing it again for the fifth summer!
