Kyle Johnson has over 25 years of
National Level coaching success in the Pacific Northwest. His
commitment to the sport of swimming, talent and leadership ability
landed him a full scholarship to Texas Christian University in Fort
Worth, Texas. While completing his degree in marketing, he competed
in the distance freestyle and butterfly events as varsity team
Coach Johnson has defined a style
of coaching and has created a technical training curriculum that
has driven the development of Olympic Trial Qualifiers, NCAA
Championship Qualifiers, USA Senior National Finalists, and Junior
National Finalists. He collaborates with world –
renowned physiologists, physical therapists, human development and
programming experts to guide swimmers of all ages to experience
healthy, reliable, and process – driven success.
Currently Kyle is serving as a
Technical Consultant to the United States Triathlon (USAT)
Collegiate Recruitment Program.
Laurie started swimming competitively at the age of 7 and considers herself a life-long swimmer. Laurie dabbles in triathlons and marathon running, but will always be a swimmer first. This is Laurie’s third year coaching the adult Masters and Pre-Masters swim programs at CAC Pine Lake and she is excited to now work with kids as well. Laurie is excited to be part of the coaching team at CAC and is looking forward to sharing her love for the sport with the kids. Watching advanced swimmers, and beginner swimmers, improve their efficiency and fitness levels in the water is the most rewarding part of coaching for Laurie.
Katie McDorman joined the Masters Group in 2006. She coached the Masters and Premasters swim teams from to 2010-2012. She is a former elementary school teacher, ski instructor and Ironman triathlete who doesn't mind getting wet and having fun. When she's not at the pool, you'll find her reading, running with her dog, skiing or hanging out with her family.
Kris Miller has been working with
Columbia Athletics Club for six and a half years now as both a
Lifeguard, Swimming Instructor, and Private Lesson Instructor. This
is his first year as a coach for our swim team. He is also
currently a student at the University Of Washington.
Renee Pillo has been with Columbia Athletic Clubs since 2004. She began her journey in the fitness industry in 1996 teaching Group Exercise and Personal Training. Her continued thirst for knowledge led her back to school to get her degree in Exercise Physiology and earn her ACSM HFI Certification. Her passion is getting people to move! Inspiring them to this in the most efficient way possible is the philosophy she trains, coaches , and instructs by. In her spare time she enjoys spending time in the great outdoors with her husband ,two daughters and two dogs.
Alexander Hoff joins Columbia Athletic Club with great background and knowledge of competitive swimming. Having competed in the sport for 15 years and qualifying for US Olympic Trials as well as competing on the University of Michigan Men's Swim Team. Over the past four summers he has served as the head coach of midlakes club, Tam O'Shanter Golf & Country Club, and has coached within the USA Swimming arena for two years with Olympic Cascade Aquatics
