Jeff returns for his 18th season as our head coach with many exciting ideas for fun swim team activities. Jeff is a graduate of Ygnacio Valley High School and U.C. Berkeley. He also graduated from the film program at Academy of Art College. Jeff swam for the Las Juntas swim team, Ygnacio Valley High School swim team, and was a member of Ygnacio Valley High School's boy's water polo team. In high school, he participated in the Terrapin Pre-Senior 2 program. After graduation, he coached the Ygnacio Valley High School swim team and was an assistant coach for their water polo team. He helped get Concord High's inaugural water polo season off the ground in fall of 2003. He was an assistant coach for Valley Vista swim team in 1999 and head coach at Forest Park the past 16 years. This is Jeff's third year as the Northgate High School swim coach. In 2014, this NG boys team won the DVAL League Championships and the North Coast Section Championship and Jeff was named co-coach of the year for this accomplishment. In 2015, the boys team repeated as NCS and DVAL champs and won the first California State Swim championship. We look forward to Jeff returning this season!
Mini Flyer Coach
Hi! I'm McKenzie Acton and I am the Mini Flyer coach this summer. I am finishing my second year at Sacramento State as a nutrition major, although I hope to attend nursing school after college. I graduated from Concord High in 2015 and I was on the varsity swim team all four years as well as played water polo for three years. I started swim team when I was nine years old at Gerhinger and then jumped over to Forest Park after a year. This will be my 11th summer at Forest Park and my 5th year coaching. I love spending my summers down at the pool; I couldn't imagine it any other way! Swimming has impacted my life so much and I am so grateful for my swim family here. See you on the pool deck!
My name is Adrianna Simmons. I am returning for my third season with Forest Park and my first one as a deck coach. I have been swimming since I was 7 years old and have been teaching swim lessons for 5 years. I swam competitively for Carondelet High School. I am studying Kinesiology with an emphasis in Health Science at California Polytechnic University San Luis Obispo. I am very passionate about nutrition, especially for athletes, and I hope to translate that to my work with Forest Park. I am looking forward to a great season!
Niki Rodriguez 33 years old, mother of 5. I have been Coaching for 20 years. Had my first "junior coaching" job working with the polywogs on Las Juntas and knew instantly I would always want to Coach. After I graduated from rec swim I coached for 3 years on Scottsdale under Scott Hirsch until I graduated from College (all tge while swimming still) and started teaching. I taught and did private coaching until my first child was born. I convinced her dad to let me put her on swim team when she was 5 and my itch to coach a team went wild again. After 3 years there, one of which I was the head coach, we realized we wanted more for our kids and came to a team that would offer both the competitive push and the fun atmosphere we craved. Where of course I wanted to coach again ?.
Hi everyone! My name is Lisa Repetto, and I am returning for my second year as a deck coach. I am currently studying Natural Science at Diablo Valley College, after graduating from Concord High School in 2015. During my time at Concord High, I was part of the varsity swim and water polo teams. I started off swimming when I was 5 at Vista Diablo, then moved to Gehringer Park and swam on their team when I was 7 and 9. Then when I was 10, I joined Forest Park and I am beyond glad I did! I have been a swimmer coach since the summer of 2013 before joining the coaching staff as a deck coach in the summer of 2016. It has been such a joy to meet all the wonderful swimmers, parents, and coaches that are part of this team. I am also extremely grateful to Forest Park because without it, I wouldn't have met many of my lifelong friends. I can't wait for another exciting swim season with the Flyers at Forest Park!
