I grew up in Hawaii and it was there I developed a passion for the sport of swimming. I have competed in USA swimming for over 10 years and have been a part of teams such as the Walnut Creek Aquabears and the Concord Terrapins. I was Varsity all four years of high school and was Captain of the team my junior and senior years. I then swam for two years at Diablo Valley College and will look to continue competing when I transfer to University of Hawaii this Fall. My favorite races are the 200 IM and the 100 Freestyle. I have taught swim lessons for four Years and was voted Swim Instructor of the year at Cunningham pool in Vallejo. Last Year was my first year coaching and I am thrilled to be returning for another year.

I am a recent graduate from Northern Arizona University with a bachelors in exercise science. While I was away at school I got my USA swimming coaches certification and coached for a year round team.
I have been swimming since I was about four and I am a forever dolfin! I started my coaching career with the Dolfins in 2013 and I'm excited to start my fifth season with my favorite team!
8 & Under Assistant Coach
I love swimming, and have been involved in competitive swimming since I was 10. At that time I swam AAU. I was able to swim through college where I swam for Brigham Young University. After graduation I married and had 4 sons, who all swim on the Dolfins.
In 1989 I started coaching high school swimming in Utah and went back to school at BYU to earn a double minor in PE - Sports and PE - Coaching. I have coached high school a total of 22 years (16 of which were at College Park), USS (now USA swimming) for about 7 years, and on the DOlfins for 11 years.
I have 9 granchildren. My 4 grandsons swim on the Dolfins at this time. We love the Dolfins and swimming with all of you.
Being around pools almost non-stop since I was 4, I've been involved with swimming, lifeguarding and coaching for various teams and groups. Joining the Dolfin Staff, I want to bring my interests of water physics and stroke management together to improve technique in an easy (and hopefully fun) way!
