John Lupton

Coach John can't wait to bring his passion for introducing kids to competitive swimming to our young crocs! John's coaching experience includes two years as the Associate Head Coach with the North Charleston Water Moccasins and four years as Head Age Group Coach with the Mount Pleasant Swim Club. He is a two-time South Carolina Swimming Zone Team Coach and a former South Carolina Swimming Age Group Coach of the Year. He has coached in both local summer leagues and served on the East Cooper Swim League board for three years. His swimming career includes 9 years with the City of Charleston Swim Team and state titles in 200 breast and 400 IM.

John enjoys teaching technique, fundamentals, and a racer's mentality to young athletes. He loves helping kids learn and appreciate the sport of swimming. 

John graduated Clemson with a degree in English and Spanish and earned an MBA from Northeastern University. He lives in Creekside with his wife Danyelle and their two sons Cartter (4) and Scotty (3) and their yellow lab Sammy Watkins. He's a Clemson fan, a Braves fan, a pianist, and he loves 60's post bop and modal music. 

Kate Beckish

Kate is from Greenville, South Carolina and has been a competitive swimmer for 12 years. She attended Wren High School and currently attends West Virginia University, where where she swims with her older sister, Lauren Beckish. She has been teaching swim lessons ever since she was 15. She also helped manage the swim team at her high school by assisting with  practices and writing the practices on some occasions. Swimming has always been a big part of her life and she loves teaching! She has been able to work with swimmers ages 3 to 65 and has loved every minute of it! She is super excited to be able to coach this year at Creekside, where she will be able to coach her little cousin!

CJ Hills

CJ's swimming career includes 9 years with MPSC/SCSC where he swam as a 10 and under with Coach John. He is a four-time letterman with Wando High School and helped win two state championships there. He also won an individual state title in the 200 back. CJ just wrapped up his first year of collegiate swimming at the University of Tampa. He is excited for the opportunity to share his love of the sport with the Crocs this summer. 

Jackson Davis

Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, Jackson has 11 years of competitive swimming experience. He graduated from Charlotte Latin School in 2020 and currently swims for the University of South Carolina. Jackson lifeguarded and taught swim lessons since the age of 15. As a freshman and sophomore in high school, he traveled to Managua, Nicaragua on a school service trip to assist in the Nica Nadadores program. This program focuses on empowering the underserved youth in Nicaragua through education, leadership, and competition. Jackson loves to help his swimmers improve each and every day even if it is just getting 1% better each day. He is more than excited for the opportunity to coach the Crocs this summer!
