2019 Coaching Staff

Kevin Kissling - Head Coach

Kevin grew up swimming in Westerville, Ohio.  He continued his competitive career at the University of Cincinnati where he was primarily a distance free and butterfly specialist. He has been coaching since 1998.  In that time he has coached for the University of Cincinnati as a volunteer assistant; the Mission Viejo Nadadores in Mission Viejo, California as an age group and national team assistant; the Westerville Aquatic Club as an age group assistant; and Westerville South High School as the head coach.  Most recently he was the head coach of the Annehurst Piranhas in Westerville, Ohio for 6 seasons. His priorities for young athletes are having fun and learning to swim every stoke well, believing that swimmers who do those two things are most likely to find long term enjoyment and success in the sport.  He lives in Worthington with his family and works for Westerville City Schools as an elementary school counselor.

Bernard Vrancken - Team Director

Bernard is a native of Waterloo, Belgium where he swam on the national team. He came to the US as an exchange student and became a freestyle and IM specialist. He was an All-American swimmer in the mid-distance and distance events for The Ohio State University. He graduated in 1995 with a degree in Marketing and International Business. Coach Bernard has 17 years of experience coaching high school and age group swimmers, including 10 years as Head Coach for the Worthington Swim Club. He is an ASCA Level 4 Coach.
