Coaching Staff

Eric Blackman

Head Coach

Email

Eric Blackman takes over as the Waves new Head Coach for the 2021 season. No stranger to the team, Eric has swum on the team for 13 years, has the team record (set in 2019) in the 15-18 Boys Breastroke, and has served on the Waves coaching staff for the past five seasons (as a junior coach and assistant coach). He was a four-year letterman on the QOHS Cougars swim team and served as the team captain as a senior. He's currently a freshman at the University of Maryland.

Andrew Adams

Asst. Coach

Email

A former junior coach (during the 2020 COVID-affected season), this is Andrew's first year as an assistant coach for the Waves. He has been swimming for the team since he was six and was previously a junior coach last season. He was a senior this past year at Poolesville High School where he played both lacrosse and soccer. Andrew is going to be an incoming freshman at Virginia Tech this fall.

Eliana Goldsamt

Asst. Coach

Email

Although Eliana is a first-year assistant coach with the Waves, she served as a junior coach during 2020 (abbreviated) season. Eliana has several years coaching experience as she's coached with JFD (Joe Flaherty Dolphins) and The British Swim School. She's swum for the Waves every summer since 2009 and just wrapped up her four-year career swimming for Quince Orchard High School. She's very much looking forward to swimming in her final season with the Waves as a 15-18 year old. In the fall, Eliana will be starting a new chapter in her life as she begins her freshman at The University of Delaware. Go Fightin' Blue Hens!
