Lauren Cabalka

HEAD SWIM COACH- 11&Up Lead Swim Coach

Email

Hey there...it's Lauren.  This will be my 30th year with the Middleton Gators - back as your head coach, primarily focusing on the 13 & Up’s this season. I started swimming for the Gators in 1988 and continued on for 14 years. During that time, I swam for Mad-Town Aquatics (now Badger Aquatics) and Middleton High School, where I was a captain and 4-year varsity letter winner. I attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I majored in History and Psychology. During my time there, I was a member of the UW Triathlon Team where I competed in 2 of my 4 Ironman competitions. I then attended Edgewood College for my teaching degree. I am currently a U.S. History and AVID teacher at La Follette High School in Madison and am the Middleton High School girl’s head swim coach.  This past season, we went 16-0 and earned our second State championship!  I also coach TRX classes with BLAZE at the Middleton Fire Station.  When I'm not at the pool, I love to exercise, read, cook and spend time with friends and family.  My husband, Jeremy, and I have a 5-year old daughter, Mila, and a 19-month old son, Leo - both future Gators!  I believe that swimming is a lifelong sport to be enjoyed by all and a sport which truly makes us better, more well-rounded people.  I have a passion for promoting a healthy lifestyle and supporting althetes of all abilities to reach their maximum potential.  I'm ready for another amazing season as a part of the best team in the league!

Andi Kent

Here we are again, my name is Andi and this year I am the Assistant Head Coach with Lauren.  I've added the wonderful 9-10 age group to my plate and will be heading up the younger swimmers!  In the off season, I am a middle school teacher (math and science) and full-time graduate student.  I am currently half way through my program at UW-Madison and if all goes to plan, will be writing my thesis next summer!  I have previously been a coach at Seminole, for Oregon and West High School as the Head Girls Swim Coach and have been with the Gators for 5 years now.
To say that I love Madison, swimming and the All-City League would be an understatement.  I am looking forward to an exciting, fast and fun-filled summer.

Margaret McGill

8&Under Assistant Swim Coach

Hi again everyone, it's Margaret... or Margie... or whatever nickname sounds fitting! I will be working primarily with the fantastic 8 and under boys, though the best part of the summer is getting to know all the swimmers, no matter the age group. This will be my 3rd official year coaching at Gators and my first summer as a "swammer" after 13 years of swimming. When I am not at the Middleton pool, I attend the University of California, Berkeley studying Political Economy, minoring in Public Policy. I have the say, the schoolwork is not nearly as fun as Gators, so I am looking forward to another fun summer with the greatest kids in the league! Go Gators!
