Jeremy Engman began coaching as an assistant coach in 1997 in an off-season winter clinic assisting with Scott Valley Swim Team, a job which led him into coaching the MSL Seals for three seasons. He was Head Coach for the Marin Pirates USA Age-Group Swimming Program, first piloting in Mill Valley in 2011 and continuing as Head Coach with the Marin Pirates for 3 years as Head Age-Group and Masters Coach. He is the founder and Program Director for Soma Aquatics and President and CEO of Soma Aquatics Foundation Inc., a non-profit learn to swim and swim safety organization. He has a BA in Ethnic Studies from the University of Colorado. Jeremy later continued studying selective alternative healing methods at Emperors College of Oriental Medicine in Southern California. He took selected studies in Qi Gong, Tai Chi, and a balanced introduction to fundamental oriental medicine and energetic healing. Jeremy grew up in Mill Valley and currently lives in Petaluma with his wife Marcialeny and wonderful son Jaden Andrés.
