Kristina Hagenbaumer joins the Naperville Tennis Club with over 10 years of swim coaching experience and 18 years of high school physical education teaching experience. She began her teaching career in 2002 at Barrington High School where she coached both high school boys and girls in addition to the Barrington Swim Club. In 2004, she moved to Naperville Central High School where she was an assistant coach for the boys and girls swim teams for 2 years. In 2006, she assisted the boys swim team to a state title.
Kristina started working in the Naperville Park District Swim Conference when she was 20 years old. She has coached for both River Run and Maplebrook II Swim Clubs. Outside of the Naperville Swim Conference, she coached for the Wheaton Park District and the Butterfield Country Club.
Kristina grew up in the pool and started swimming for the BR Ryall Swim team at the age of 8. She went on to have a successful swim career at Wheaton College. Her love for the pool has carried over to her teaching career and is passionate about teaching all her high school students how to swim.
In addition to her love for swimming, Kristina is very involved with Special Olympics and students diagnosed with a variety of disabilities.
Over 10 years ago, Kristina developed a
curriculum targeting students with Autism titled Sensory Physical
Education. She has a heart for inclusion and educating all age
levels on interacting with students of all abilities.
She is very excited to coach again in the Naperville Swim Conference. Her coaching philosophies focus on fun and technique. She is looking forward to coaching your child to reach their goals!
