Kahler Goldsmith

Head Coach

Email

Kahler is excited to be returning to Pine Valley this summer! Kahler grew up swimming for the DeKalb YMCA and then following that, DeKalb High School. This will be his fourth year as a coach and second summer with Pine Valley! He began as a coach for the DeKalb YMCA and currently is the lead Bronze Group Coach for Fort Wayne Swim Team. His goal is to prepare swimmers for not only the physical aspects of the sport, but also all of the mental challenges and obstacles as well. Kahler believes this can be accomplished all while still having fun and making life long memories. "There have been multiple studies done that say about 70% of kids will drop out of sports by age 13. I decided to become a coach with the mission of lowering that percentage and keeping the fun in swimming, while still becoming the best you can be".

Hi Everyone! Allyson and I are so excited to serve your families and kids with so much energy and passion for the second year as Head Prep Coaches. This my 9th year as a swimmer for Pine Valley and my 4th year as a coach. I graduated from Dekalb High School this summer, and next year I will be attending IUPUI on a full scholarship to study Philanthropic Studies and Marketing. Swim has always been a big passion as I have swum competitively for five teams throughout the years. I joined the Pine Valley swim team after my first year swimming with the YMCA. LOVING my first summer season, I brought some Dekalb friends into our PVCC community. My goal this summer is to establish strokes in our Group 1 prep swimmers and keep the focus on having fun, especially on Fridays. We have so much planned for this summer, and I can’t wait to get to know your swimmer. GO TREES!
