HEATHER BENT – Head Coach – Heather Bent is an English teacher at Gar-Field High School and co-head coach of their swim & dive team. She is a mom of two from Florida with fantastic swim knowledge. She is a committed and enthusiastic educator and coach who is a dedicated mentor to her students and swimmers. Coach Heather can be reached at [email protected]
MATT FIELDS – Assistant Coach – Matt Fields is a rising junior at the University of Lynchburg. He is a part of Lynchburg’s Division 3 swim team and earned 3rd Team All-ODAC his sophomore year. He has been a member of the Breakers for over 12 years. He is excited to coach and share his swimming knowledge with the team. Asst. Coach Matt can be reached at [email protected]
Ellie Martin – College Coach - Ellie just finished her freshman year at the University of Vermont where she is studying political science on a pre-law track and competes on the UVM D1 swim team. She has been a Breaker since she was 5 years old and looks forward to coaching again this summer while also getting to swim one last season.
Jamie Martin-Long – College Coach - Jamie is a rising sophomore at Virginia Tech University where she is studying Human, Nutrition, Food & Exercise Sciences with plans for a career in nursing. She has been on the team since she was seven and has been a big cheerleader for other swimmers most of that time. She is happy to be returning to coach this summer while also taking classes and lifeguarding.
Taylor Ford — College Coach - Taylor will graduate from WSHS this weekend and is thrilled to spend the summer swimming and coaching with OBB before heading off to WVU in the fall where she will study exercise physiology to prepare for a career in physical therapy.
Hannah Martin-Long – Junior Coach - Hannah is joining the coaching staff after spending time as a volunteer coach during her busy HS years. She has just finished her freshman year at Virginia Tech studying neuroscience. She hopes to instill a love of swimming and all things OBB to the swimmers in her care this summer.
Josh Davis – Junior Coach - Josh has been a Breaker since he was 4 years old and is excited to compete for one final season while also coaching. He a rising sophomore at the Florida Institute of Technology where he studies aerospace engineering while competing on their D2 swim team.
Cade Martin - Junior Coach - Cade has been a Breaker since the summer before kindergarten and is in the midst of wrapping up his junior year at WSHS. He will be a bit MIA the first few weeks as he finishes the Woodbridge crew season but looks forward to the season.
Eva McIntosh – Junior Coach - Eva will be swimming her 12th year on OBB and is finishing her junior year at Osbourn Park High School. Eva looks forward to being a new member of the Breaker coaching staff this summer while also competing in her school’s pole vaulting program.
Will Good – Junior Coach - Will is weeks away from being a rising senior at Woodbridge High School. He looks forward to spending the summer lifeguarding, coaching and competing as a Breaker for his 10th year with a few family trips thrown in.
