Head Swim Coach
My name is Austin
Hopkins. I am a recent graduate of the Wright State
University’s Master of Public Health Program. Prior to that,
I graduated from Miami University with a BS in Health Promotion. I
currently am serving as a long term substitute for Springboro
Schools in Physical Education and Health for 1st and 6th grades. I
have lived locally all of my life, and swam for Coffman YMCA for 11
years as well as Dunsinane for 11 years. I coached for DSC for 4
years and just finished my first year coaching for the YMCA. I am
very excited to start coaching in the SSA again, and I am really
looking forward to making it a fun and successful season. My goal
for this summer is to build our sense of tea, as many of our
swimmers come from different backgrounds in the area, while also
developing strokes in a way that prepares the swimmers for winter
seasons if that is what they choose. I will see everyone
