Justin Wahlers has been involved in summer league, high school, and
year-round swimming for more than 10 years as a swimmer and
coach. As a year-round competitive swimmer, Justin swam with
TAC Titans and New Wave Swim Team, qualifying for multiple NCS age
group, senior championship, and ESSZ senior sectional events.
In high school, he swam with GRACE Christian, finishing in the top
three at multiple NCISAA 2A state championship events. Justin
is currently a sophomore student at the University of North
Carolina, majoring in Psychology and minoring in
Neuroscience. Though he does not swim competitively anymore,
Justin has coached the Olive Chapel swim team for the past two
summers. In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Justin
works as the Associate Director at a local nonprofit called Hope
Connection International. At Hope Connection, he oversees
development initiatives, serves on the Board of Directors, chairs
the advisory board, and developed a support group curriculum for
adolescent boys with anxiety and depression problems. As a
coach, Justin strives to help swimmers achieve their potential in
and out of the water. This season, he looks forward to
providing the swimmers with opportunities to improve their swimming
skills, develop sportsmanship, and have fun!

Keri Cleary was born and raised in New Hampshire and attended school at Simmons College in Boston, Mass. At Simmons, she earned her Bachelor’s in Exercise Science and swam all four years for Simmons. Simmons participated in both the GNAC and NEISDA conferences where Keri was a multi-time conference champion and record holder for Simmons. Keri received GNAC swimmer of the year her freshman, junior and senior year. She was captain at Simmons both junior and senior year and also received the Simmons Athlete of the Year award her Senior year..
Keri has over fourteen years of coaching experience where she has started learn to swim programs, coached summer league and has coached year round swimming. Keri has been on staff for several North Carolina Swimming camps. She has had swimmers who have been state champions, have been selected for swim camps, zone teams and have also had swimmers break North Carolina State records..
Keri is married to her husband Devin and they have a son Carter and daughter Elia. She loves being a mom and has a passion for the sport of swimming. Her ultimate goal is that every swimmer is confident in the water!
Carrie Rogers has been coaching with the Marlins of Raleigh
year-round team since 2015, and works with the Seasonal Swim
Clinics offered with the team. She taught swim lessons to all ages
before that and was a high school English teacher. Carrie is an
active open-water swimmer and participated in a relay team for the
Portland Bridges Swim last summer, a race that goes through the
city of Portland, Oregon and under their 12 bridges. She went out
there to visit her two sisters who grew up here in Apex with her
and her two brothers. Her mother still teaches at Apex High School,
but she and her family all moved to Raleigh after attending NC
State. Her husband runs a computer firm in Cary and she has two
daughters. They all love to go to the beach and travel, and try
local donuts and sweets at all the places they go to!
Julianne graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in May where she majored in
Business Administration and minored in Speech and Hearing Sciences.
On campus she was involved in the campus ministry, Cru, as
well as club swim and club cross country. She was also on the JV
Rowing team her freshman year. Julianne's Tar Heel pride
runs deep. She LOVES basketball and even road tripped to
Houston, TX to watch the Heels play in the 2016 Final Four and
Julianne has been swimming competitively since the age of 6.
She began as a Dutchman Downs Dolphin and soon progressed
to swimming year-round. She has been an assistant coach
for the Dolphins for two years then head coach for the two
years following. Julianne loves games and finds so much joy
in working with little kids!
