Jeff Otten is the founder of Triumph
Aquatics Club. He has been involved with aquatics in the Clear Lake
area since 1997; as an athlete and coach. He began coaching youth
water polo in 2010. He prioritizes the development of youth
athletes, creating a fun environment and instilling a love for
water polo.
Coach Otten coached in the Clear Creek Swim
League for the League City Swim Team from 2008-2012. He has also
taught private swim lessons during his career. More recently, he
has coached adults in the Future Warriors program, helping them
attain their goals within the USA military.
Since 2014, Coach Otten has led the Varsity
Women and Men’s water polo programs at Friendswood High
School. Over that course of time he has received many coaching
accolades. Most Recently he received TISCA boy’s state Coach
of the Year in 2018. Prior to that he was awarded boy’s Coach
of the Year awards for TISCA South Region in 2014 and
2015.
Outside of Triumph Aquatics coach Otten has
spent three years in the USA Water Polo Olympic Development
Program. He serves as the coach for the Southwest Zone
Men’s Cadet team.

Emma Womersley

Coach Emma joined Triumph Aquatics in the Summer of 2019. She is
currently the assistant aquatics coach at Clear Springs High
School. Prior to joining Triumph, she played club water polo at
Texas A&M (whoop!). While at Texas A&M her team won
the Texas CWPA conference 3 times, and participated at CWPA
Nationals. Before attending Texas A&M Coach Emma graduated
from Clear Creek High School. At Creek, she swam and played water
polo. While at Creek the women’s team placed 1st
at the TISCA State water polo tournament in 2012! Coach Emma loves
working with athletes of all ages. Her main goal is to teach
athletes the game of water polo and help them grow a love for the
sport.
Coach Emma graduated from Texas A&M with Bachelor of Science
in Kinesiology.

Ty Halford

My name is Ty Halford, I am currently the Head Coach at Clear
Creek High School for both swimming and water polo. Through out my
coaching career I have enjoyed great success on both sides of
aquatics, with my high school swimming and water polo teams
competing at the State level. In 2018 I was named TISCA South
Region girls water polo coach of the year and UIL Region 6 6A Girls
swimming coach of the year in 2019.
I enjoy teaching athletes the great game of water polo but even
more enjoy teaching kids life skills that will help them be
succesful later.

Sarah Padgett

Coach Sarah is from League City and comes to us from the Bay
Area Dorados Water Polo Club. She has been coaching aquatics for
six years and is a graduate of the University of Houston-Clear Lake
with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Economics. She
is currently a substitute for Goose Creek CISD while she completes
her teaching certification to teach high school math. She started
playing water polo in eighth grade and continued through high
school. Coach Sarah attended Clear Springs High School where she
was a four year varsity swimmer and a 3 year varsity water polo
player. She earned all region and all state distinctions her junior
and senior years, as well as breaking two CSHS records for single
season saves as a goalie and all time saves as a goalie. She is
excited to join the Triumph staff!

Rachel Craig

Coach Rachel joined Triumph Aquatics in the Summer of 2019.
Coach Rachel brings a wealth of knowledge to Triumph Aquatics. She
has competed nationally for Rosebowl Aquatics and Bucknell
University. At Bucknell University Coach Rachel competed as a
Division 1 athlete, she appeared in 16 games as a freshman. Coach
Rachel is a local athlete, graduating from Clear Brook High School.
While at Clear Brook she was a four-year letter winner in water
polo and swimming. During that time, she was a three-year team
captain, helping Clear Brook Qualify for three Texas State Water
Polo Championships. Coach Rachel was awarded Co-MVP for the
Houston South Region in 2016. In 2017 as a Junior she received MVP
honors for the second time in the Houston South Region. At the
State Tournament, she was awarded All-State First Team. Coach
Rachel is excited to share her experiences with Triumph Aquatic
Athletes and helping them attain their goals.

Claire Michele Zepeda

Coach Claire joined Triumph Aquatics in 2019. Coach Claire is a
recent graduate from Pearland High School. In 2019, Coach Claire
was a major contributor to the success of her team. Leading them to
their first ever qualification in the Texas High School State
Championship Tournament. Coach Claire currently attends the
University of Houston. She is majoring in Business at the Bauer
School of Business. Coach Claire is super excited to coach the
fundamentals of water polo while creating a fun environment!

Evan Metcalf

Coach Evan is the goalie coach at Triumph Aquatics, joining the
club in 2019. Prior to joining the club, he played club water polo
for Viper Pigeons. In 2018, while attending Friendswood High School
Coach Evan led his team to their first ever qualification in the
Texas High School State Championship tournament. Coach Evan
received the following awards while attending Friendswood High
School; 1st team all-district, 2nd team all-region, and an
honorable mention all-state, finishing 2nd place in all-state in
the goalie division. Coach Evan is attending the University of
Houston, where he participates in the marching band. In 2018, Coach
Evan received Eagle Scout honors from the Boy Scouts of America.
Coach Evan is excited to work with the athletes and help them
accomplish their goals.
