Janet Herman

This will be Janet’s 16th year as Head Coach at Del Amigo Swim Team. Janet is originally from Southern California where she both swam and coached for one of the premier USS swim teams in the country, Mission Viejo Nadadores.  Her 19 years of coaching experience with the Nadadores included implementing the Novice program and served as the Director of satellite programs.Janet heads up the All Star program, as well as Dynamites and Guppies for Del Amigo Pool Association.  She takes pride in the program that has been developed over the years and looks forward to another rewarding season.

John Dorr

This will be John’s sixth year at Del Amigo.  John comes to us with an impressive swimming background.  As an age grouper he swam for Sam Ramon Valley Livermore Aquatics and Orinda Aquatics.  There, he excelled and made his first 2000 Olympic Trial cuts.  Since then, he qualified and swam in Olympic Trials 2004, 2008 and 2012.  He was a finalist in 2008 Olympic Trials in the 200IM as well as a National Finalist. John served as Team Captain at Cal Berkeley’s Swimming and Diving Team.John is married to his wife Jennifer and they have twin 3-1/2 year old, daughters.  John is a project manager at a new start up company.  John is very creative in terms of swim sets.  The kids love it!

Connor Neuman

Connor grew up in the water participating in both recreational swimming as well as water polo.  He loved the team atmosphere of recreational  swimming, but polo was where is heart lead him.  During his high school years he turned his attention to both water polo and baseball.  He was a dual athlete at Cal Berkeley graduating in 2018.   Connor was an instrumental player, as Cal went on to win the 2016 NCAA National Water Polo Championship.  Connor also earned the All American Honorable Mention award for the 2016 season.  He was a member of the 2017 World University Games team for USA. Connor has a passion for working with young athletes and prides himself on teaching not only swimming skills and what it takes to be successful both in the water and out. Connor has set a life goal for himself, hoping to follow in his dad’s footsteps as a Triathlete.  His dad placed 2nd in the infamous Hawaii Triathlon in 1980.

Dom Patterson

Dom grew up swimming year round with the Orinda Aquatics, he then went on to DVC where he was an All American swimmer and competed in 2 State Championships making finals in 3 events each year.  Dom transferred to Sac State where he graduated in 2018 with a Sociology degree. Dom’s coaching experience has lead him to both recreational and year round programs.  He was an assistant coach at LMYA for 2 years working with all age groups.  He then went on to coach at Arden Hills in Sacramento, specializing in the 13 and up age group. Dom has a passion for working with both young and older athletes.  His enthusiasm and energy is electrifying.  He is looking forward to sharing his knowledge with Del Amigo!
