Coach Mike has coached various levels of competitive swimming
for over 10 years, including head women’s team and JV coach
at Las Lomas High School, assistant coach at UC San Diego Masters,
Head Coach at Walnut Heights Otters, and most recently as assistant
coach at Crow Canyon Sharks and Co-Head Coach at Crow Canyon Sea
Lions. He swam for the Larkey Sharks, Walnut Creek Aquabears, and
Diablo Valley College, and is a graduate of UC San Diego.
Away from the pool Mike is a professional photographer,
specializing in architectural and real estate photography.
Laurence grew up swimming on the east coast in the Washington,
DC area. She swam for AquaHoyas swim club and qualified for Junior
Nationals at the age of 15. She has been coaching swimming for over
a decade and was head coach of her rec team in Maryland for 5
years. She also started her own year-round team and was head coach
there as well. She is also an active US Masters swimmer.
After having moved to California, she coached for the Crow Canyon
Sea Lions before starting her work with an animal rescue. Laurence
