Patti Worsley

Head Coach- Senior and Gold

Patti is a familiar face around Old Town Hot Springs, where she has worked since 2000 as a part-time swim coach and private swim instructor. She returns to the swim team with over 25 years of successful and diverse swim coaching experience as a coach with USA Swimming and Colorado High School Swimming. Patti has a degree in Recreation and Leisure Services from the University of British Columbia  Many of her former student athletes have gone on to swim sucessfully at Division 1 and Division 2 colleges. Her swimmers hold current USA Swimming Colorado State records as well as University of Denver records. She has coached State Champions and High School All American's. Her swimmers have continued on to final at Div 1 NCAA's and compete in the Olympic Games. Patti has extensive knowledge of swimming technique, race strategy, and team leadership.  As a former competitive swimmer, she understands what it takes to positively motivate and successfully develop athletes at any level to achieve their potential. Patti comes from a swimming family, as well. Her sons, Blake and Cole, swam for the University of Denver, her brother swam at Arizona State and her father developed and manufactured the Speedo swimming goggle.

Bryan Ladrow

An All-American honors award recipient in swimming at the University of South Dakota, Bryan started swimming when he was 11 years old.  Bryan was the head coach for the Colorado Springs Racquet Club for 4 years during college and during his tenure in high school he set and still holds the record for the 200 free. While he has a degree in Finance, Bryan re-discovered his joy of coaching when his daughter began swimming with Pikes Peak Athletics. Bryan coached with Pikes Peak Athletics in Colorado Springs for 2 years before moving to Steamboat. He enjoys helping children to develop their technical skill set while encouraging self-esteem and confidence.          

Sara Barry

Sara has been teaching swimming for over 25 years at the Old Town Hot Springs.  She helped start the "Devo"program for young swimmers.  She coached for over 8 years and then took some time off.  She is now happy to be back coaching the Lightning and Bronze team under Head Coach Patti.  Sara swam competitively for her high school and in college.  Sara has a passion for water!  You can often see her on her boat wake surfing and in the winter time she teaches skiing to kids.  She loves to travel and loves to head to the beach to get in a surf!   

Ryan Connelly

Ryan started swimming competitively as a 6 & Under age group swimmer and finished his career upon graduating from High School.  He coached for several summer's at his local swim club.  He is excited to return to coaching in Steamboat.  He enjoys skiing, mountain biking, trail running, swimming and eating delicious food when he is not at work at Point6.  He was born and raised in suburban Chicago and moved to Steamboat in 2007 after graduating from the University of Colorado.  You can find him working with the Lightning future Olympians.

Carson Keller

Originally from Fargo, North Dakota, Carson is a former competitive swimmer of ten years and has been coaching for three years. Carson has plenty of experience in and around the pool. He enjoys rock climbing, health and wellness, and lots of adventure. You are most likely to run into him at the pool or Natural Grocers. He is very excited to coach with the Steamboat Swim Team and looks forward to getting to know all the families!

David Franzel

David Franzel coaches swimmers of all age groups.  His specialties include working with adults to get "back to the pool" and with swimmers with disabilities who swim recreationally or with a paralympic classification.  David loves swimming and can frequently be found working out at the pool and leads by example.

Audrey Earley

Audrey has a degree in Recreation & Leisure Services with a concentration in Aquatics. She swam competitively from age six through college, then started swimming with Masters in 2006 with First Colony Swim Team (FCST) in Sugar Land, TX. She taught Swim Clinics for FCST and was a Texas High School swim meet referee. While living in Dhaka, Bangladesh for four years, Audrey coached the Middle School Swim Team and the Masters swim program at the American International School. Audrey is a long-time Steamboat Masters swimmer, is currently an Ambassador at Steamboat Resort and a former Colorado State Parks Ranger. She loves open water swimming, skiing, travelling and sharing her passion for swimming.
