Stephanie Krist

Stephanie is returning for her sixth year as a Red Waves coach and her first year as Head Coach! Stephanie started competitively swimming on a YMCA team when she was 10 years old. The majority of her childhood years were spent at swim meets, swim camps and swim practices. She competed all four years of high school (the 100 butterfly and 200 IM were her favorite events) and worked as a lifeguard during her high school summers. Stephanie was lucky to serve as co-captain of the team her senior year. Some of her favorite memories were made while spending time with the swim team.

Stephanie earned a BFA in Communications Design in 2011 from Syracuse University and has since started a weddings and family photography business in the Boston area. She is extremely excited to be back at the pool as Head Coach and can't wait to spread the swim team love with the swimmers of the Red Waves!

Shannan O'Neil

This will be Shannan's fourth season as a Red Waves coach. Shannan started swimming competitively at the age of 9 for the Lowell YMCA Barracudas.  Through her team she learned to love the sport of swimming and swam for the YMCA for the next 7 years. She competed all four years of high school and worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor for the YMCA.  Shannan graduated from Regis College in 2015 with a BA in Health Science with a minor in Business Management. While at Regis Shannan swam all four years. In 2016 Shannan finished her Master’s degree in Regulatory and Clinical Research Management.  Shannan previously coached Metrowest Aquatic Club for two years and has been a lifeguard and private swim instructor for Regis College. She is very excited to be a part of the Weston Red Waves family!

Adam Millerick

Adam is returning for his third year with the Red Waves team! Adam started swimming when he was 10 years old for Pirates Aquatics which later on became Magnus Aquatics. Adam also swam for Andover High School for four years as well as the Regis College swim team. Adam’s best events where the 100 yard back and the 100 yard free. Adam graduated Regis College in 2014 with a bachelor’s in social work. Adam is very excited to work with the Weston Red Waves and can't wait to get into the season!

Alex Caliendo

The Red Waves are excited to see Alex back on the pool deck as an assistant coach. Alex is the former Head Coach for the Weston Red Waves, a position that he had to step down from due to his full time job committment in the medical field.Prior to his time as the head coach Alex has served two seasons as the Assistant Head Coach of the Red Waves Team. Alex is very excited for the upcoming season. He graduated from Regis College in May 2014 with his BSN and in 2015 received his masters degree in Healthcare Administration at Regis College. In high school and at Regis College, he swam butterfly and freestyle, focusing mainly on the 200 yard butterfly. Alex has also helped out with WHS Swim Team running the preseason program for Coach Valle.  Alex hopes to see you on the pool deck! Go Red Waves!

Woody Benson

This is Woody Benson’s seventh year as a Red Waves Swim Coach. Woody swam competitively though childhood, high school and college. He was on the Bentley University Swim Team where he primarily swam Distance Freestyle and Backstroke. Woody graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Bentley University in May 2010 with a double major in Finance and Global Perspective, as well as a minor in Management. In addition to being a Senior Product Analyst at Liberty Mutual, Woody also is an EMSOA Swim Official for High School meets, and swim instructor. He has been teaching swim lessons to children and adults of all ages for 14+ years. In Woody’s spare time he enjoys cooking, traveling and going to the gym.

Kelly Larocque

Kelly Larocque is a seasoned volunteer and spectator with the Red Waves swim programs.  All three of her kids swam with Red Waves before swimming with the Red Tide HS team.  A resident of Weston, Kelly is actively involved in various volunteer activities in town.  Kelly is an RBT for Case Collaborative at Littleton High School.  As an ABA Tutor, she teaches social skills groups, working with students on the autism spectrum.

Sharon Locke

Sharon has worked as the Assistant Director of Recreation in Weston since 2006. Prior to coming to Weston, Sharon worked for 16 years as the Aquatics Director for the Town of Brookline. During her time in Brookline she was the Head Coach of the Dolphin Swim where she won several league division titles and coached several individual "A" champions. Sharon also coached both the Boys and Girls Brookline HS Varsity Swim Teams where she won two Bay State League titles. Sharon has a degree in Physical Education and Recreation Management and is a Certified Pool Operator. She is a member of the National & Massachusetts Recreation & Park Association, the National Association of Aquatic Professionals, and ASCA (American Swim Coaches Association). She also volunteers her time as co-chair of the Aquatics Committee for the State of Massachusetts.  In her free time she likes spending time with her family, watching her son compete in cross country, and trying to train her very spoiled German Shepherd named Racer.
