John Lacey

John is a USA Swimming certified coach, who in additiion to coaching the Weston Red Waves, is a member of the Gator Swim Club coaching staff.  Prior to joining the Weston Red Waves, John was an assistant coach at the USA swim team MetroWest Aquatic Club, now part of Crimson Aquatics.  John is a U.S. Masters swimmer with the MIT Tech Masters and competes regularly in open water races throughout New England.  He began as an age group club team swimmer in Rhode Island and Virginia, swam for a Cape Elizabeth, Maine H.S. Class A state championship team, and was a four-year member of the Bates College Water Polo team.  Our three daughters, who started competitive swimming with Red Waves, are now USA Swimming and Weston High School swimmers. In addition to coaching, John is an executive at Johnson & Johnson.

Shannan O'Neil

This will be Shannan's sixth season as a Red Waves coach. Shannan started swimming competitively at the age of 9 for the Lowell YMCA Barracudas.  Through her team she learned to love the sport of swimming and swam for the YMCA for the next 7 years and swam for Lowell High School all four years. Shannan graduated from Regis College in 2015 with a BA in Health Science with a minor in Business Management. At Regis Shannan swam all four years while working as a coach, lifeguard and private swim instructor. In 2018 Shannan finished her Masters degree in Regulatory and Clinical Research Management at Regis.  Shannan is also a certified official.  When she is not on the Red Waves pool deck, she can be found officiating various meets throughout the state. She is very excited to continue to be a part of the Weston Red Waves family!

Amy Sheinhait

Amy is a long time swimmer and coach with experiences working with all ages. Amy started swimming competitively at 6 years old on the Framingham Frogs Parks & Rec swim team. As a member through her graduation from high school, she also started her coaching career with the team, at age 15. Amy was a record holder and 3-time Bay State Conference All-Star as a member of the Framingham High School Girls’ Varsity Swimming & Diving Team. Following graduation from high school, Amy attended Brandeis University to study computer science. While at Brandeis, Amy was a 4 year member of the swimming and diving team. Amy specialized in the sprint freestyle and backstroke events, and graduated with multiple university records and all conference awards. She also returned to her former club team, Metrowest Aquatic Club, as a coach in 2015. In addition to coaching at Weston Red Waves, Amy also works as a software engineer.

 
 
 
 

Gloria Sutton

Gloria Sutton learned to swim before she learned to walk, this is her first year assistant coaching for the Red Waves. Gloria swam competitively through middle school, high school, and this is her last year of collegiate swimming with Regis College. She holds a Regis College school record in the 1000 freestyle and favors the long distance events. She is majoring in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, graduating in May 2020. She is very excited about working with the Red Waves this year! 

Lindsey Bone

Coach Lindsey is an undergrad at Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts studying Biology, Pre-med. This will be her first year with the Weston Red Waves. Lindsey has been swimming for 13 years, she swam with R&R aquatics, George Ranch High Schools Varsity, and the Regis College swim team. She has life guarded for four years and taught swim lessons at Lamar Consolidated ISD for two years.

This is my second year coaching swimming for the Weston Red Waves Swim Team. I am currently working on my masters degree in Education. My goal is to become a middle school or high school history teacher. I have been a certified lifeguard for past 3 years. I have worked as a lifeguard for the Recreation Department of Mashpee and Weston. I currently am a substitute teacher at Weston Middle School.

Ryan Moran

I am a senior at Regis college pursuing my bachelors in public health. I will continue my education at Regis by getting my masters in public health as well. I have been swimming competitively since I was 6 years old on the Oak Square YMCA team I continued swimming with various club teams and through high school. I am now on the Regis women’s swim team and have been since my freshman year. I was named Co-captain for this upcoming season. I have taught swim lessons for 4 years now. I have been a lifeguard for 5 years now.

Woody Benson

This is Woody Benson’s eighth year as a Red Waves Swim Coach. Woody swam competitively though childhood, high school and college. He was on the Bentley University Swim Team where he primarily swam Distance Freestyle and Backstroke. Woody graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Bentley University in May 2010 with a double major in Finance and Global Perspective, as well as a minor in Management. In addition to being a Senior Product Analyst at Liberty Mutual, Woody also is an EMSOA Swim Official for High School meets, and swim instructor. He has been teaching swim lessons to children and adults of all ages for 14+ years. In Woody’s spare time he enjoys cooking, traveling and going to the gym.

Kimberly Bilis

This is Kimberly’s 2nd year as Team Coordinator and her 6th year being a parent of an almost 6th grader swimming for Weston Red Waves. Kimberly competitively swam growing up and continued on throughout High School where she was a member of Weston Red Tide. Her love for all things water, and her daughter’s passion for swim team, was just a natural extension for her to be part of the Red Waves Family. She is excited to put her son, a 2nd grader on swim team this year and is looking forward to once again working side by side with the fantastic coaches and all the amazing parents who volunteer. 

Sharon Locke

Sharon has worked as the Assistant Director of Recreation in Weston since 2006. Prior to coming to Weston, Sharon worked for 16 years as the Aquatics Director for the Town of Brookline. During her time in Brookline she was the Head Coach of the Dolphin Swim where she won several league division titles and coached several individual "A" champions. Sharon also coached both the Boys and Girls Brookline HS Varsity Swim Teams where she won two Bay State League titles. Sharon has a degree in Physical Education and Recreation Management and is a Certified Pool Operator. She is a member of the National & Massachusetts Recreation & Park Association, the National Association of Aquatic Professionals, and ASCA (American Swim Coaches Association). She also volunteers her time as co-chair of the Aquatics Committee for the State of Massachusetts.  In her free time she likes spending time with her family, watching her son compete in cross country, and trying to train her very spoiled German Shepherd named Racer.
