Cindy Myers

Head Coach, Coach 8 and under

Hi, my name is Cindy Myers.  I’m married and have 5 children, all swimmers. My daughter Evelyn is 9 and loves butterfly.  My daughter Hayden is also 9 and loves breaststroke.  It will be their fourth year swimming.  My son Austin is 5 ½ and it will be his second year on the Stingers.  I was born and raised in Willoughby and swam for the Stingers from 8 years old up until I was 15.  I also swam for the YMCA West End Wildcats and the Lake Erie Silver Dolphins.  This will be my second year as a Head Coach and I could not be more excited.  I already know we have a great group of kids and parents and I’m hoping to see our swim family grow even more this year.  I have a passion for the City of Willoughby, the Stingers, the sport of swimming, and these kids!  Looking forward to a great season!

Samantha Erich

Coach 9-10

Hi, my name is Sam! This is my second year coaching for the Stingers. I grew up in Willoughby and am currently finishing my sophomore year at Gannon University. I swam for the Stingers from 2007 to 2014 and in 2013 set a team record in the 100 meter breaststroke. I lettered in swimming all four years while attending Lake Catholic High School and set a team record in the 100 yard breaststroke. I also swam for the University Swim Club (USC) in over 30 USA Swimming Meets in all events. I’ve been a life guard at the Willoughby pool since 2014 and two years ago  I taught swimming for USC to swimmers 5 to 12 years old. I’m so excited to get to know all of the swimmers this year! I hope I can make this season one of the best for everyone and I am definitely looking forward to it!

Maria O'Keeffe

Coach 11-12

Hello, I’m Maria O’Keeffe. This is my first year swimming for the Stingers. I attend Lake Catholic High School and will be a junior this coming school year. I have swam for the Lake Catholic swim team for the past two years as well as participate in tennis and track. I have been swimming for 8 years and graduated from the Willoughby Stingers last summer. I have always wanted to become a coach, so I am very excited to come back and work with these amazing swimmers!

Brian Regovich

Coach 13 and up

I am 19 years old. This is my second year coaching for the Stingers. I grew up in Willowick and have been swimming for ten years now. I swam in the Suburban Swim League (SSL) in the summers for the Willowick Wildcats and for the West End (Willoughby) YMCA swim team in the winters from 2009-2015. I helped set a SSL record in the 13-15 boys 200 yard freestyle and 200 yard medley relays. I started swimming for GLSS, a USA Swimming Team, a little more than 5 years ago and for Eastlake North High school from 2014-2018 where I set two individual records and was part of two relay record swims. I will be swam this season for the University of Mount Union after graduating from Eastlake North.
