Head Coach/Age Group Coach 13&Up
We are excited to welcome back Kayleigh Kozlowski as our Head
Coach for the 2021 season! With her swim experience including
swimming Trails and part of the Trails coaching staff for
four years, she is more than equipped to carry on the Trails
traditions of keeping our team fun and competitive for all levels.
Kayleigh started swimming with Trails when she was 12 and continued
until she was 18. She swam with the DeKalb County Swim Team for
four years and for DeKalb High School varsity team for four
years where she was voted Captain for two of those years.
Kayleigh has multiple state medals.
Kayleigh previously worked as lifeguard and swim instructor
for Lifetime Fitness, teaching lessons to swimmers of all ages. She
was also Head Coach of a Lifetime Swim Team.
Kayleigh has been a big supporter of her younger sisters,
helping them to hone their technique, especially in freestyle and
starts/turns and is passionate about swimming. Kayleigh stays
active at the gym and is a certified personal traininer.

Age Group Coach 8&Under
We are excited to
introduce Fiona to the coaching team as Age Group coach for the
8&Unders! She started swimming in 2011 with the Dundee
Dolphins. She swam varsity with the Dundee-Crown High School. She
finished her first year at Carroll University and her first year
swimming at the collegiate level. She teaches swim lessons and
guards with the Dundee Park District. She is looking forward to
sharing her love for swim and encouraging kids to finish every set,
even when they don't want to, because in order to grow, you have to
go through every difficult thing.

Trails is excited to welcome Maggie Hillyer as a Junior
Coach for the 2021 summer season! This will be Maggie's 6th
year swimming with Trails. Maggie is a varsity swimmer at
DCHS Dundee Township Park District swim lessons instructor.
Maggie enjoys working with kids and wants the opportunity to
give back to the team.
Trails is excited to welcome Grace Kozlowski as a Junior
Coach for the 2021 summer season! This will be Grace's 11th year
swimming for Trails. Grace is a swim instructor and lifeguard at
the Algonquin pool. Grace is captain of her high school swim team
and head lifeguard at her high school pool. She is a
graduating senior who plans to go to Hope College in the fall to
pursue a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry with a minor in
German before going on to medical school to become a
Grace loves the atmosphere and the community at Trails and looks
forward to representing the team and keeping the atmosphere
Trails is excited to welcome Avery Mason as a Junior Coach
for the 2021 summer season! This will be Avery's 8th year swimming
for Trails. She is a member of the varsity cross country and track
teams at Jacobs High School and swims with the Dundee Dolphins swim
team. Avery is a lifeguard and swim instructor at the Algonquin
Pool. She also serves as a teachers assistant at Sunday school.
Trails has become like a family to Avery and she loves spending
time at the pool.
13up Dryland/Volunteer Asisst
We are excited to have Ryne Quinlan as a volunteer coach for
this summer! Ryne will be applying his military training for three
13up drylands, as well as assisting at evening stroke
clinics for June. Ryne originally started as a Trails swimmer
at age six in 2000. He swam with Trails for 12 consecutive
summers. You will see his name in the Trails recordbook! Ryne
swam on the varsity swim team at Jacobs High school for four years
and served as Captain of the team as a sophomore, junior, and
senior. His senior year, he qualified for the IHSA High
School State Meet in the 100 Breaststroke and 100 Freestyle, as
well as the 200 Medley and 200 Freestyle Relay.
After high school, Ryne attended the University of Notre Dame,
where he participated in Army ROTC and received a Bachelors
and Masters Degree in Accounting before moving on to work as a
consultant in Chicago. Currently, Ryne is finishing his second
year at the University of Notre Dame Law School and serves as a
First Lieutenant in the Illinois Army National Guard.
