Melissa Box

Head Coach

My name is Melissa Box and I am the head coach for the Castlewood Dragons. I grew up in Flower Mound and started swimming on Wellington Sharks Swim Team at a young age. In high school I swam for FMHS and also played water polo.

I began my coaching career as a junior coach at age 11 and worked my way up, coaching many age groups and taking over as Assistant Head Coach while with the Wellington Sharks. In 2014 I made the switch to Castlewood to help establish the team & was so happy that I did! Some of you already know me from the first 3 summers, and for those of you who I don’t know, I can’t wait to meet you!!

I currently teach Kindergarten here in LISD. It’s a blast getting to work in the same district where I grew up!
While I am not working, I love to spend time with my family, puppy and friends. I also enjoy exercising, coffee, spending time on my family’s property, reading & Texas A&M football!

I am thrilled to be back at Castlewood for another fun summer. The swim community, friendships and values that the sport instills in it’s swimmers are life-long and I hope each child feels a part of that! I can’t wait to get to know your children and help them become better swimmers!

Christopher Raleigh Harvey

Assistant Coach

My name is Christopher Harvey, I am 17 years old, and I have been doing Castlewood swim since the team started. I have also swam for Marcus High for 3 years now, and have done LAC for 7 years. When it comes to being around children, I have experience not only with kids in general, but most of the kids that I will be helping Melissa coach this season may remember me from previous years, as I have helped and had fun with the kids as a junior coach before. Thanks to prior work with the children of Castlewood, I hope to help make this season their best one yet, especially seeing as they did not get to participate on the team last year due to COVID. I have also been lifeguard certified, so you can be sure to know that your kids are in safe hands between Melissa and myself. Finally, I would like for both the parents and children to know that I am excited to work with the kids this season, and am looking forward to starting up this May!

Stephanie L Coutts

Assistant Coach

My name is Stephanie Coutts and I am an Assistant Coach for this amazing team! I am going to be a senior at Marcus High School, and I will be joining the Marcus Swim Team next year. I have been passionate about playing the trumpet and am part of the Marcus Band where I hold a Section Leader position.

I have been a part of the Castlewood swim team since fifth grade and have done it every summer.  Before Castlewood, I started swimming when I was 6 years old and it’s always been a hobby I enjoy.  The last couple years, I was a junior coach and now I have the honor to be an official coach.

I love helping people out and watching them grow into their fullest potential.  I can’t wait to see the season ahead of our team!

The Castlewood swim team always has had a special place to my heart and I am honored to be a part of helping each individual swimmer. I love helping people out and watching them grow into their fullest potential.  I can’t wait to see the season ahead of our team!

Go Dragons!
