Coach Jud started swimming at age 10 and won his first medal at the long course Junior Olympics where he placed 2nd, 5th, and 6th, in three events. He went on to set national age group records and earned a scholarship to University of Oregon, where he lettered all four years. He taught swimming and managed at the Chuck Thompson Swim School in the Silicon Valley for three years. In his 40’s he participated in triathlons for 5 years and competed in long course and open water swim competitions. He currently also is the head coach at Monte Vista Christian High School. His coaching mentors include Coach of the Century, George Haines, founder of the Santa Clara Swim Club where he swam with Olympians Don Shollander, Donna De Varona, Mark Spitz, etc…. He is a certified ASCA and NFHS swim coach.
Coach Chad's experience with San Benito Aquatics (and swimming in general) has been quite an extensive one, spanning over the course of a decade. He started swimming with SBA at the age of 5, and continued to swim competitively for the next 8+ years before finally becoming a swim coach, a position which he has held for the past 2 years.
Chad enjoys working with swimmers of all levels and ages, teaching them new skills as well as fostering a greater sense of appreciation for the sport.
Linnea E Rodriguez
Coach Linnea began competitive swimming at age 7 her in
Hollister. She began teaching and coaching the "mini gator"
program at age 13, teaching young swimmers aged 4 to 8 how to swim
all four competitive strokes. She continued teaching/coaching
until age 15 when she began swimming for the Morgan Hill
