Coach Stewart brings 36 years of swim coaching experience to SMRT. He has been a Head Coach for 34 of those years, coaching USS, YMCA, NCAA, NJCAA, as well as internationally. Coach Stewart has coached at 4 World Championships, as well as being selected as Head Coach to The 2009 Youth Olympic Games (Singapore), 2011 Jr. World Championships (Lima) and 2 CCCAN Championships for The Bahamas Swimming Federation. His swimmers have achieved the highest levels in swimming, including Olympic Gold and Silver medals. His swimmers have won titles in USS Nationals, USS World trials, USS Jr. Nationals, USS Olympic Festival, YMCA Nationals, and Numerous Ohio and Florida High School State Championships. Coach Stewart’s athletes have been named to many Ohio, and Florida age-group swimmers of the year. As a swimmer Michael swam in Fort Lauderdale under 1976 Olympic Coach Jack Nelson. Then he moved on to become an all-conference swimmer at Marshall University, majoring in Business Management and Finance. He enjoys Golfing and Scuba diving with his wife Laila.

Rob grew up in the Charleston area and swam with the City of Charleston team. Rob graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Health Fitness. His coaching experience includes 7 years at Parkshore both assisting the head coach and teaching swim lessons; one summer as the Swim American Program Manager at Quail Arbor in Summerville; and head swim coach at Pine Forest Country Club for 3 years. In addition, Rob has served as a personal trainer in recent years.
Rob's experience, coupled with his positive attitude and strong knowledge of teaching children to swim, is invaluable to our team. Rob works directly with the Blue Group, Silver Group, and Marlins Groups, coaching all groups.

Josh Stroble was born overseas in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. He
began swimming at the age of 4 and has competed in AAU sanctioned
meets, USA swimming sanctioned meets, high school, and college duel
meets. His first introduction to coaching was teaching swim
lessons at the age of 14. Over 2 summers in high school he was an
age group assisntant coach at The Senic City Aquatic Club in
Chattanooga, TN. After high school he was recruited by The College
of Charleston where he competed mainly in middle distance freestyle
events. While at COFC he coached the Dunes West Swordfish of the
CCAA for 2 seasons. After recieving a degree in Corporate
Communcations from The College of Charleston he joined The Coast
Guard and had the opportunity to volunteer coach in Key West, FL
and Alameda, CA. Coaching children for Josh is a delight and a
priviledge. He considers being part of your child's swimming
experience a great honor.
Education: Limestone College, B.A. Elementary Education (2011)
Dan is from Charleston and has over 20 years of competitive
swimming experience. He swam for Limestone College and
was a member of the inaugural men’s swimming class in 2006.
At the conclusion of his 4th year at Limestone, he
stayed an additional year to serve as a Student Assistant Coach.
While attending Limestone, he served for 3 seasons as a volunteer
lead coach for the Gaffney High School Swim Team.
Dan has coached in the Charleston area for over 5 years. He is
the head coach for the Park West Pirates East Cooper Summer League
Team. He was head coach for the Charleston Charter School for
Math and Science High School Swim Team from 2012 to 2016. He
coached for local club swimming programs including; LTP in 2012,
MPSC from 2014 to 2016, and SCSC from 2016 to 2017.
Dan is an active member of the American Swim Coaches Association
and currently is a Level 2 Nationally Certified Coach.
