HVDA Board Members and Coaches

Hemet Valley Dolphin Aquatics is a competitive swim team. We are accepting applications for tryouts Mondays through Fridays from 6:10 - 7:00 PM. We have a fantastic Swim program for children of all ages, from beginners class, competitive class and all the way to Junior Olympics. Hours of operation are Monday's through Friday's from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.We are still following Covid-19 strict guidelines at this time. We will allow two parent/guardian per family inside the pool deck. Everyone entering the pool deck must observe 6 feet social distancing. Please wear a mask if you cannot social distance. These rules may change anytime. We will let you know when this happens. Summer classes will begin in June and will end in September. Summer classes are a first come first serve basis, so please come early. Registration for the summer class will begin in May.

Meet our Head Coach Kevin Bouk. Coach Kevin has been involved in USA Swimming and has been swimming since the age of 5. Coach Kevin competed until the age of 20 including 2 years at Riverside City College and have won several competitions. He also worked as a lifeguard and a safety instructor. Coach Kevin teaches HVDA's learn to swim program (white group) during the summer season. In 2010 He became a year round coach for Hemet Valley Dolphins and have been coaching HVDA since. He currently coaches the Blue and Red Groups, but have coached several group levels in his career as a coach. Coach Kevin will start coaching our silver and gold team.  In 2017 he was the boys and girls JV Swim Coach at Hemet High School. In 2018 he became their Head Coach for Water Polo Team. Coach Kevin has been involved in the sport of swimming for a very long time and loves what he does.

Coach Kevins says I am constantly critiquing myself everyday, so I can become a better coach. I became a coach for Hemet Valley Dolphins and Hemet High School because I have a lot of respect for aquatic programs that preceded me. I want to do everything in my power to keep this programs competing at a high level. When I'm not coaching, I like to research everything I can about being a coach. This includes new drills, techniques, set, workouts, out of the pool conditioning and nutrition. I want to be able to provide information to athletes about every aspect of swimming and water polo. These are my goals as a  swim coach.

Dianna E Johnston

Coach Dianna Enochs Johnston has taught swimming and lifeguard since the age of 16, well over two decades. She started coaching at the age of 18 for the Elsinore Valley Aquatics and has coached for many swim teams since, including the latest two Paloma High School and now San Jacinto High School. She also taught many years as both a High School and College Science Teacher. Coach Dianna also has a background as an EMT.  Coach Dianna says "I thoroughly enjoy creating new swimmers as well as making swimmers the best they can be! ". Coach Dianna is super excited to a be member of the Dolphins Family and be a part of our Dolphins growth. We welcome you coach and we are all glad to have you on board with the Dolphins Swim Team.

Caleb X Reed

Meet our Coach Caleb Reed. Coach Caleb started competing in age group swimming at the age of 9 and in the summer volunteered his time as a Junior Lifeguard at the Valley Wide Aquatics Center. He competed in two Jr. Olympics with his club relay team through USA Swimming and swam varsity for Hemet High School. He also competed in the CIF Finals with his relay team. Coach Caleb has decided to choose a health profession and has just completed an EMS/EMT Course and also received his certificate in May 2021. His career goal is to become a Paramedic. Coach Caleb has 4 years of experience working with infants and toddlers teaching them basic water survival skills such as floating , treading water and how to get to safety and exit a pool. Coach Caleb says, " I believe that every child should learn to swim as early as they are able to". We are so proud to have Coach Caleb as a part of our coaching staff. We believe that coach Caleb will bring a new energy to our team with the supervision of our Coaches.

Devin-Harrison Joseph Windhorst

Coach Devin began his involvement with aquatic sports at Hemet High School, where He spent four years on the water polo team and two years on the swim team.  Since He started he worked his way up to varsity teams and took classes to earn his Lifeguarding and Safety Instructor Certificates. Coach Devin says, "I love to teach and watch others learn and grow, and I look forward to encouraging students to be more comfortable in the water. We are proud to have Coach Devin here at Hemet Valley Dolphin Aquatics.

Monserrat Trujillo

Say hello to our summer coach Monserrat Trujillo! Coach Monserrat's involvement with competitve swimming began in high school where she pulled herself up to varsity through non stop involvement with her swim program and occasionally joining Hemet Valley Dolphins to work on her techniques. She is also actively involved with Cal Poly's swimming club and team. Coach Monserrat has a lot of experience working with kids as she has been helping her mom for the past 6 years with her daycare business. She is excited to introduce a new love for swimming and establish a good foundation for future competitive swimmers. Coach Monserrat will be working closely with our Head Coach Kevin Bouk During our summer program for beginners. HVDA is proud to have Coach Monserrat on board our coaching staff.

Abigail Gilliland

Abigail Gilliland also known as Coach Abby is our beginners class coach and also a substitute coach. Coach Abby started her swimming career in the 8th grade before her freshman year and has always been an avid swimmer. She played 4 years of water polo, 2 years of varsity and 4 years of swimming, including 3 years of varsity in high school. Coach Abby also loves to surf, hike and rock climb in her free time. Coach Abby is a college student woking on her degree to become an english teacher.  Coach says, " My desire for being a coach is to help teach these kids about swim and open more doors into aquatic athletics that changed my life forever".

Kristen Wortman

Summer Program and Substitute Coach

Coach Kristen Wortman is our summer and substitute coach. She graduated in Hemet High in 2017 where she swam Varsity, All League, CIF Swimmer and received Athlete of the year award. She was also Team Captain her Junior and Senior Year and earned VIP Award for her willingness to help other swimmers in their techniques. Coach  Kristen's primary events were, 100 breaststroke, 100 back, 200 IM, 200 free and the relays. She went to CIF in these events. She is set to complete her AA Degree in two majors next Spring. She wants to pursue a BA in Psychology and Criminal Justice . Her Career goal is to become a member of the law enforcement with the expectation of promoting to investigator. As a young athlete, Coach Kristen also swam for the Hemet Valley Dolphins, Mesa Aquatics and Star Aquatics. 

Kenah Brooke Jefferson

Coach Kenah Jefferson started swimming in her freshman year in High School where she also played Water Polo for all four years. During her free time Coach Kenah enjoys surfing. She says, "She has always enjoyed being in the water because of family influence". She is currently in college working on becoming an elementary teacher or a pediatric nurse.
