Head Coach / McCallie MS Coach
Coach Roger Dahlke was named Head Coach of McCallie / GPS Aquatics in May of 2012. McCallie / GPS is the new name for the Scenic City Aquatic Club. Coach Dahlke is excited about the opportunity to leading the future of swimming in the Scenic City.
Coach Dahlke was appointed head age group coach in the fall of 1996 and has been instrumental in the growth of the Scenic City program. A native of Chattanooga, he has been involved with Chattanooga since 1977. He swam for Coach Martha Bass, Steve Panzaram, Paul Milkey, and Joe Geoken while swimming year round in Chattanooga. He became coach of his childhood team in 1989 and coached until he became a full time Scenic City coach in 1998. Coach Dahlke joined the Scenic City and McCallie staffs in 1995.
Coach Dahlke loves coaching and teaching swimmers of all levels. He relies on his Christian background to be a positive role model for his students. Continuing education is very important to Coach Dahlke, so he reads and studies swimming and is always striving to be a better coach.
Married on March 23, 2013 - Roger and Carrie live in East Braneird with their two kids - Christian and Lily Claire - with their two dogs Heidi and Blue.
Asst Senior / McCallie Head Coach
Coach Corcoran is the head swimming coach and aquatic director at the McCallie School. He is a native of Roanoke, VA, and a graduate of Indiana University. He swam and played water polo for prep school powerhouse Mercersburg Academy in Pennsylvania. His coaching career began in Orlando, FL where he organized Team Orlando and managed the Orlando International Aquatic Center. The University of Tennessee then hired Stan as an assistant coach with the men’s team under John Trembly. He also became the head coach of the Pilot Aquatic Club and developed it into one of the southeast’s strongest teams. At McCallie, he has continued a winning tradition with State titles from 1998-2004. Coach Corcoran is a stroke technician, a proven winner and a fine asset to McCallie/GPS Aquatics.
Blue Group Coach
Skip was a pioneer of competitive swimming in the Chattanooga area, swimming on the first Chattanooga Area swim team. For 10 years he won medals and set records at the city, state and SEAAU levels. After swimming he began coaching with the Chattanooga YMCA AAU team. During his coaching time there he had several swimmers that made national top 10 times. Upon graduation from college he was named the head varsity swim coach at The Baylor School. While he was coaching, Baylor had multiple All Americans and State Champions. He also started an AAU team at Baylor. One of the swimmers that he coached set a national AAU record and later went on to win an Olympic Gold Medal. After 2 years at Baylor, Skip retired from coaching to enter graduate school and start a career in business. Since that time Skip has been competing in Masters and Senior swimming. He has competed at the national level where he has placed in the top 8 several times. Skip comes back to coaching with a wealth of knowledge and experience and a renewed dedication to help his swimmers be the best that they can be.
Blue Group Coach
Caroline is a native of Chattanooga, having swum locally year round in the AAU program, in high school for GPS, and summers for Fairyland Club. She was a high school All American and State Champion. She swam collegiately for Brenau College. She has been inducted into the Greater Chattanooga Sports Hall of Fame as well as the GPS Athletic Hall of Fame.
Caroline enjoyed coaching Fairyland Club as a college student, working with children of all ages. After a 20 year hiatus, she returned to her first love, swimming, as coach of Fairyland again. She has teamed with fellow Mccallie/GPS Aquatics coach Kendall to create a fun yet competitive environment.
Caroline is focused on younger children hoping to mold them not only into skilled, competitive swimmers, but also good kids.
Silver Group at McC / GPS MS coach
Kendall joined the McC|GPS coaching staff in 2011 as the Silver age group coach. She brings years of age group coaching to the club, as she is the middle school head coach for GPS, in addition to coaching for seven years with the Chattanooga Area Swim League (CASL).
She began her swimming career with CASL for Stuart Heights. During her time with CASL, she was a 3x High Point winner and Jennifer Fugate nominee. Kendall is a 2004 graduate of GPS, where she was a TN State Championship qualifier and finalist. She was a Southeastern Swimming qualifier and finalist for McC|GPS (then Scenic City Aquatic Club). During her collegiate years at Transylvania University (Lexington, KY) she was a Bluegrass Mtn Conference finalist and champion, team captain, taught swim lessons, and coached the school's summer swim camps.
Kendall loves coaching age group swimmers, because she can help foster their love for swimming, and begin to set and reach goals, in and out of the water.
Silver Coach at McCallie
Katie joins us from Colonel Aquatics (Cola) in Richmond, KY, where she was the age group coach for four (4) years. She also was the head coach for Lafayette High School (Lexington, KY) and Arlington Country Club (Richmond, KY).
Katie began swimming in Chattanooga for Stuart Heights when she was seven, and then Scenic City Aquatic Club. She is a 2001 graduate of GPS, as well as a State Champion and All-American, focusing on breaststroke and the IM. Katie then continued her swimming career at Transylvania University (KY), where she was an NAIA All-American, team record holder, and All-Conference team member.
She lives in Ooltewah with her husband John and sons Jack and Ben (who swim in blue group and gray group, respectively).

Gray Group Coach
Coach Betsy began swimming competitively when she was 8 years old. She excelled throughout her high school and college years. She was a state champion and All American.
Betsy has coached in the summer swimming program for over 20 years. She brings that expertise as well as her teaching abilities to McCallie/GPS. She teaches third grade and has a special love for beginner swimmers. She began coaching at McCallie/GPS in 2015.
Gray Group at McCallie
Sarah joined the coaching staff in 2017 as a Gray Group
coach. She is a graduate of Girls Preparatory School, where she was
an All-American and TN State Champion in the freestyle events. She
then continued her collegiate swimming career at the University of
Sarah lives on Signal Mountain with her husband, Matt. They have
three children, Nolan, Caroline & Lily, who all swim for
Jackson Pierce Barker
