Head Coach, Elite Swim Academy
brings years of experience and is excited to head our Elite Swim
Academy at Arden Hills. He came to Arden Hills Swimming in
June 2005, after eleven years as head coach of Vallejo Aquatic Club
(VJO) where he grew the team from twenty-five regularly
attending swimmers in the winter months to over 160 swimmers year
round. He has coached a Junior National qualifier, several
Sectional qualifiers and Far Westerns champions.
swim coaching, Chris worked for fifteen years in radio. Outside
interests include a passion for playing golf; browsing golf shops,
bookstores and used CD stores; and driving his car aimlessly,
without a destination in mind.
Assistant Coach, Advanced Group
Chris comes back to Arden Hills after many years of
involvement in the Sacramento swimming scene. A competitive swimmer
from the age of 8, he swam and played water polo in college. He
began coaching while still swimming for the Petaluma Swim Club, and
during his time at Sac State, was the Head Coach for FEC for three
seasons. His three children all swam for Arden Hills; youngest son
Troy represented AH and UC Berkeley at the 2008 US Olympic Trials.
Lucas and Jessica have both coached at AH, Lucas with the
Year-round team, Jessica for the Otters. Chris retired as Head
Coach for the Rio Americano High School Swim Team and Girls Water
Polo team, to focus on a new career search. While at Rio, his teams
never lost a league championship or league dual meet, and his 2004
and 2006 Boys teams, and the 2008 Girls team won Sac-Joaquin
Section championships. Chris served as the Assistant Head Coach for
the Otters from 2013-2014 and as a DART Age Group Coach from
Chris most recently served as the Aquatics Director and Head
Coach of the Johnson Ranch Barracudas.

Adric is excited to be returning for his
8th year of coaching at
Arden Hills. Along with his role as Head Age
Group Coach, Adric is also the Arden Hills Aquatics Director,
Otters Head Coach and an Elite Swim Academy Coach. Adric
brings many years of swimming and coaching experience; he
first swam rec at Del Norte before arriving at Arden Hills in
the year 2000. Adric swam at Arden Hills for 9 years. However,
Adric quit swimming at age 11 due to burnout and a loss of
motivation in the sport. He returned to swim 2 years later at age
13 with a renewed vigor and determination that still burns to this
Adric's return to swim helped shape his coaching philosophy today.
His coaching goal is to make every aspect of swim that he did
not care for, enjoyable for his team. Peer
relationships, coach-swimmer interactions, fun and winning are just
some of the components Adric has strived to improve. Coach
Adric's philosophy follows two main
1) Have fun
2) Be successful.
His teams have proven over the past few years that it is
possible to have a successful team where the swimmers enjoy their
teammates, coaches, meets and practice.
Under Adric's guidance, the Otters have enjoyed tremendous growth
and success. Among the accomplishments, in the past 3
years the Otters have amassed an 11-1 conference record, 2
undefeated seasons, 3 -1st place season trophies, 2
Championships victories and more! The team has also
impressively placed in the top 10 for the past 3 seasons in
the Meet of Champions. In the previous 5 seasons (2013-2017), his
swimmers have broken records an astonishing 112
His swimmers consist of Junior Olympics, Far Western, High School
Sections 'A' finalists, and he coached swimmers to Western
Zones, Sectionals and Futures qualifications.
