As Aquatics Director and Head Coach, Adric is excited to be in his 10th year of coaching at Arden Hills. Adric brings many years of swimming and coaching experience to the team; he first swam rec at Del Norte before arriving at Arden Hills in the year 2000. Adric swam at Arden Hills for 9 years (for both the Otters and USA team). However, Adric quit swimming at age 11 due to burnout and a loss of motivation in the sport. He returned to swim 2 years later at age 13 with a renewed vigor, determination and love for the sport that still burns to this day.
Adric's return to swim helped shape his coaching philosophy today. His coaching goal is to make every aspect of swim that he did not care for, enjoyable for his teams. Peer relationships, coach-swimmer interactions, enjoyment and success are just some of the components Adric has strived to improve. Coach Adric's philosophy follows two main principles:
1) Enjoy the process.
2) Be successful.
Adric served as the Head Coach of the summer rec team the Arden Hills Otters for 8 seasons. Under Adric's guidance, the Otters enjoyed tremendous growth and success. Among the accomplishments, the Otters won 39 meets (22-5 conference), broke 161 records, achieved 5 dual meet season victories, 4 undefeated seasons, 3 championships victories and moved up through 3 conferences.
His USA swimmers consist of Junior Olympics, Far Western, High School Sections 'A' finalists, and he has coached swimmers to Western Zones, Sectionals and Futures qualifications. Adric served as a Sierra Nevada coach for the 2019 Western Age Group Zones team. He also serves on the Sierra Nevada Board of Directors as the Program Development Vice-Chair.
Adric played 2 years of College Soccer, was on the All-Academic team and graduated as a Business Honors student from Sacramento State with a degree in Financial Planning.
