Ricky Silva began coaching in 1991 in Southern California while attending Cal State Fullerton. Upon moving back to the Bay Area following college, he coached at several teams in the Bay Area over the last 20 plus years. Ricky was the head age group coach from 1995-2001 at SOLO aquatics in Menlo Park. Ricky worked primarily with 12 and under swimmers as well as the summer league team.
He started coaching at Palo Alto Stanford Aquatics in 2001. While at PASA, he was part of a staff that formed a team that would grow to be over 1,200 competitive swimmers and a Gold Medal club. Ricky was the Head Age group coach at the Rinconada site. While at PASA, he coached a wide range of swimmers, from novice to top 16 in the country. Swimmers in his group have achieved sectional, Junior National, National and Olympic Trials times.
Ricky moved to the Santa Clara Swim Club as a Performance Coach. During his time at SCSC, swimmers that he coached achieved Far Western, Sectionals and USA Winter Junior time standards. Five swimmers were invited to attend the USA Western zone select camp. SCSC has been a USA swimming Gold Medal club the past two years.
In addition to coaching, he worked as the Aquatics Manager for California Sports Center at the Sunnyvale Swim Complex from 2002-2013. Ricky was awarded the Pacific Swimming Age Group coach of the year in 2012.
Ricky was active in Pacific Swimming and USA swimming. He has attended the national select age group coaches camp (2012 and 2014) at the Olympic Training Center, assisted at the Western Zone select camp at the University of Utah and has coached on several Pacific Swimming All Star teams and camps. He was the Age Group Chair for Pacific Swimming for two years.

Coach GregO brings with him a wealth of experience in swimming, having competed for over 18 years and coached for 3 years.
As an athlete, GregO was a distance swimmer, specializing in the Grandaddy of them all, the 1650. He went to college on scholarship to University of the Cumberlands in Kentucky and finished in top 16 of the 1650 at the NAIA National Championships all 4 years. As a coach, GregO began coaching at his childhood swim team in Georgia and coached several athletes to qualify for the state championships for the first time. He then came to Daly City where he coached several to qualify for JO’s and Far Westerns.
It is his conviction to helping his athletes reach their goals that drives him and motivates him to be the best, and to inspire his athletes to become the best version of themselves. GregO looks forward to each and every practice. Every day is another opportunity to get better. Every day is another chance to reach your goals!
