Hi, my name is Patty Fisk and I have been with the Elko Anaconda Swim Team since 1998 when my daughter Rachael joined the team. I started as a volunteer coach in 1999. I took over as head coach in the fall of 2003. Since then my son Jared joined the team and will continue swimming next year at the University of Puget Sound. My husband Floyd started swimming competively 10 years ago and competes in Master Swim Meets. He recently was a stroke and turn official and a starter. He has served on the Elko Swim Team Board of Directors. Before I became Head Coach I also served on the Elko Swim Team Board of Directors. I graduated from Plainwell High School in Michigan where I participated in band and swim team. I graduated from Olivet College with a Bachlor of Music Education Degree. I have worked for Eureka County School District, Elko County School District, Great Basin College, and Ruby Mountain Resource Center.

Chris Noren has been swimming since he was 10 years old. He grew up in Minnesota and attended the University of Wisconsin where he continued his love of swimming. He is married to Hadley and they have twin boys, Wesley and Walker. Chris has taught art for 20 years to children from Kindergarten to 12th grade. One of many accomplishments that Chris is proud of is a relay he participated in where, some old Wisconsin Badger swimming buddies swam from Lanai to Maui, Hawaii in 2003. They refer to themselves as the Grumpy Old Badgers. In addition to swimming, some of Chris’ favorite activities include fly fishing, mountain biking and snowboarding. Chris started coaching the Elko Anacondas in the Fall of 2012, and works with the Gold swimmers. We are honored to have his expertise and dedication as an addition to our growing swim team.

I have been a Group Fitness Instructor for over 13 years, teaching classes as varied as Kickboxing, Yoga, Step and Weight Training.  This love for fitness brought me to Personal Training about five years ago, and I have been a trainer at Gold’s Gym ever since.  My own fitness goals have included competing in triathlons and 130+ mile endurance bike rides such as the Death Ride and Double Century (200+ mile in a day) rides.  I have a love for the outdoors, and believe in functional training to enhance all outdoor activities as well as daily experiences.

My training style is one of encouragement and patience.  I enjoy working with all types of people, from beginners to athletes looking for a competitive edge.  I look forward to enhancing your swimmer's goals and giving our team that same competitive edge!
