Coach Josh has been a member of the LCA family for over 16 years both as a swimmer (2002-2008) and a coach. For five years at UT, he acted as the student manager for the UT men's swimming and diving team. The time spent on deck with the greatest swimmers and coaches in the world definitely helped shape his philosophies and love for the sport.

Coach Josh has been coaching with Lost Creek since 2008 and has worked with every group from our learn to swim program, up through our national team. He coached the Lost Creek Cruzers summer team for three years, the Twin Creek Twisters (2017), and was the head coach at Regents High School (2010-2014). Josh is the head coach for the Cedar Park High School team, as well.

Chuck Herrmann

Assistant Coach, Cedar Park

Coach Chuck was born and raised on Long Island, growing up on the north shore in Smithtown. He grew up surrounded by water, whether it was the beach or the pool in his backyard. Naturally, because of his love for the water, he started taking swim lessons at the local YMCA when he was 5. By the time he was 7 he started swimming for the Team Suffolk Swim Club. He continued to swim for Team Suffolk up until his senior year of high school. Along with swimming club, he swam Varsity in high school, swimming doubles every day of the week. He was voted captain his senior year of high school.

Chuck attended Vassar College where he majored in Biology. Originally unsure of whether or not he was going to swim, after swimming for 11 years straight, his passion was reignited by an awesome coaching staff and great teammates. Over the next four years the team became like a family for him and he was eventually elected captain senior year.

Chuck coached for two years in Las Vegas, while getting his Masters in Biology at UNLV, and fell in love with the sport all over again. Outside of swimming, Chuck is a wildlife biologist with a passion for the outdoors, a good book, and fitness.
