My name is Melanie Dobinson and I am 20 years old. I live in Vermilion Ohio, but I am currently getting my bachelors degree in Human Development and Family Studies at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green Ohio. This upcoming 2017 sailing season will be my 13th year sailing at the VBC and my 3rd year as a full time counselor. Prior to becoming a full time counselor I junior counseled for 3 years as well.>
My name is Lucas Pajk and I am 19 years old. I live in Vermilion Ohio and I’m currently enrolled at the University of Akron. I am 1 of 3 triplet brothers and we have been sailing for 10 years and Jr. counseling since we were 15. Last year I became a fulltime coach for the advanced morning group and the race team. It was such a privilege to go through the VBC program myself. With the knowledge I obtained from the great coaching I received as a Jr. racer in the ILYA, I hope to give my campers an even better experience than what I had. This is a tall task that can be done with the great coaches and parents we have at the VBC. Last year the race team performed exceptionally and I am very confident we can have an even better showing this summer. If I had to describe myself in 5 words or less I would choose; confident, ambitious, motivated, persistent, and attentive. I can’t wait to be back on the water working with the campers and race team. It’s going to be a great year!
