Erica Johnson 
Coach Erica is starting her tenth season as Head Swim Team Coach! She has been involved with competitive swimming for the past 25+ years, swimming for Highline Swim Club, KING Aquatic Club, Kent Swim & Tennis Club, Kennedy High School, and Whitman College. She was an assistant coach at Kent Swim & Tennis Club for three summers while she was in college and was also an assistant coach for year-round club Issaquah Swim team from 2008-2010. Aside from swimming, Erica has also been an elementary school teacher since 2009, teaching in Bellevue, Lynnwood, and Mukilteo. When she’s not coaching, Erica is busy chasing around her 19 month old daughter, Brielle. She is looking forward to another great summer season...Go Stingrays!

 

Will Delbrueck
Coach Will is currently a sophomore at Colorado State University studying Electrical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics and swims on the Colorado State Club Swim Team. Will grew up swimming as a fellow Somerset Stingray and Newport High School student, and has been an assistant coach the past two years for the team. His passion to pass on his knowledge of the sport and work with kids drives his excitement to coach. Outside of the pool, Will enjoys mountain biking, the great outdoors, and designing small projects. He looks forward to another great season!

 

Madeleine Chin
Madeleine grew up in the Somerset area where she bagan swimming at a very young age.  Madeleine has been swimming competitively for 10 years, her first team being the Somerset Swim Team. She continued her swimming career on the Bellevue Club Swim Team and swam for Newport High School where she was captain her senior year of high school. When Madeleine is not swimming, she can be found playing water polo, skiing, lifeguarding, and surfing. Next year she will be attending the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business studying business administration. Madeleine is excited to share her love of swimming with the team that started it all!

 

Emma Smith
Emma Smith is a senior at Newport High School and will be graduating this June. This is her first-year coaching and she is super excited to share her passion with the team! She grew up swimming in California before moving here and joining the Somerset swim team when she was 9. She also swam for Newport High School for all four years of her high school career and she played water polo for her school as well. Emma will be attending Western Washington University next year where she hopes to continue swimming and playing water polo as she studies marine biology and environmental policy. She looking forward for this season and her first year as a coach!
