Jason Wong

Lead 12 & under Coach


Jason Wong began swimming competitively at the age of 7 on MSJA in Fremont. He has extensive experience competing in every level of youth competition: from summer dual meets, to Far Westerns and NCS. He was the captain of Mission San Jose High and De Anza College's water polo and swimming teams, and is still the 100 IM record holder for Kennedy Seals Swim Club.

Jason began coaching in 1999 with MSJA. Beginning in 2002, he coached Mission San Jose High for two years, leading them to consecutive undefeated seasons and setting 14 league records in the process. After taking a few years off to earn his degree, Jason returned to coaching at Piedmont Hills. During his tenure at Piedmont, his swimmers have broken 7 school records and qualified for CCS every single year.

Jason previously taught or coached at MSJA, Happy Fish Swim School, and Milpitas Star Aquatics. He has a degree in psychology from UCLA.

Kumhee Lamb

Director of Swim Lessons


Coach Kumhee is dedicated professional with over 25 years of experience in coaching.

She has been involved in swimming for almost her entire life. Kumhee is former Korean National Champion in the butterfly stroke and won a gold medal in Jr. Olympic. She is also an internationally recognized synchronized swimming coach and judge. Over the years, she has helped produce numerous regional, state and national swimmers all age levels.

Coach Kumhee's coaching philosophy is one of excellence achieved through encouraging athletes to develop a healthy self-image, personal accountability, goal setting, and achievement of personal goals. “It is the journey, not necessarily the end result that is most important. Winning is not everything, but striving for excellence is."

Coach Kumhee has a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education.

When Kumhee is not coaching, she enjoys doing interior design and decoration.
