Lead Junior Coach
Years Coaching: since 2002
Swimming Background: I started swimming for the Tomahawk Swim Club (TSC) when I was 8yrs old and swam for the club until I was 17. I swam all four years for Tomahawk High School, and was a varsity letter swimmer. I started coaching with TSC when I was 16. While in college at UW- Whitewater, I coached for the J-Hawk Aquatic Club for 4 ½ years. I was the Head Coach of the Harrison Area YMCA Swim Team (HAYST) for 4 years in West Virginia. While there I was also selected as a Southern Zone coach, once as an assistant coach and the next year as the head coach. I was also one of the head coaches for the first West Virginia AAU Junior Olympic Swim Team. I have coaching with the La Crosse YMCA Waves for the last two years.
Favorite Events: 100 Breast, 500 Free and 1000 Free
Favorite part about coaching: Being able to pass on my love of the sport and knowledge to new swimmers. Also, when a swimmer finally clicks with a skill they have been working hard to learn.
In my spare time: I like to go paddle boarding, kayaking and fishing. I took a paddle board boot camp class over the summer and loved it as well. I try to take my dog Duke for walks/ runs as much as possible. I love spending as much time as possible with my niece.
