Coach Cobo started coaching at West Coast water polo club in the summer of 2018. He started competitively swimming and playing waterpolo at the age of 10. He played on the PNW zone team since the age of 14, played in the medal rounds at JO’s, was a USA Waterpolo All American, grew up in the cadet and youth USA national systems and secured scholarships to D1 schools. He has coached at the highschool, club, and junior collegiate levels. Coach Cobo has been a referee at national tournaments at all levels of play which is a testament of his round knowledge of the game. Professionally he is the Aquatics Director at the Palo Alto YMCA and is the new head waterpolo coach at Independence High School. His goals are to make each and every player better, develop division 1 athletes, and to position West Coast Waterpolo Club as Bay Area waterpolo powerhouse.

Coach Eman "E" Ghoreyshi,

Coach Eman has been coaching at West Coast Aquatics Water Polo since the Winter of 2015. He is a bay area native, playing for both Pioneer High School and SV Outlaws before starting his coaching career at West. Beginning at 10u and 12u levels with only 4 athletes, he worked his way up as Director of West Coast Aquatics Water Polo. The club stands proud at over 50 athletes and is growing each season. Taking his teams as far as championships bracket at Junior Olympics. Coach Eman has worked local high schools and clubs as both a head and volunteer coach. Coaching as Pioneer girls Assistant, Evergreen Valley Head Varsity Boys, and current the Milpitas High School Girls Varsity. He has played at CCS championship competitions and is continuing his playing career for the West Polo Masters Team. Coach Eman is currently working at San Jose State University for his degree in Business Administration. His goal is to take each player that comes into West and train them to a high level of play and encourage them to become strong student-athletes with the goal of playing post high school. Coach Eman is still the head coach of the 12u and 10u teams at West.
