Kailyn was born and raised in Lake in the Hills, IL. She is the oldest of four who all love to be in the water and swim. Kailyn graduated from UW-Platteville in 2016 with a BS Degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology. By day she worked at a financial firm as a client coordinator, but by night she loved to spend as much time as possible with her family and friends. Kailyn and her husband Zach live in West Bend with their two cats Herbie and Hanz. Kailyn started her 12 year swimming career with the Trails of Algonquin Swim Team and continued to compete on several competitive swim teams throughout the North Western suburbs of Chicago. The best experiences throughout those years was being able to swim alongside her brother and sister, cheering each other on and pushing one another to do their absolute best. When they get together, they love to reminisce on those days and talk about all their swimming memories and accomplishments.  Kailyn started her coaching career as an assistant cheer coach with her  high school cheer team during her college years. But it wasn’t the same as swimming and she wanted to get back to her roots and coach her favorite sport. She is so happy to be coaching alongside some amazing and inspiring coaches with the West Bend Swim Club. She is looking forward to learning as much as possible from her fellow coaches and swimmers as well. Kailyn just finished her first year of coaching with the West Bend Swim Club.
