Coach Becka grew up swimming for FAST, the Bridgeport Wildcatters,
and Bridgeport High School. She is now a junior on the Fairmont
State University women’s swim team and was a member of the
2018 Mountain East Conference Championship team. She is a Nursing
major and plans to pursue a BSN degree.
Having grown up swimming for FAST, Becka dreamed to one day have
the opportunity to coach the team. She shares that she has so many
wonderful memories of coaches and friendships made through the
program and really loves getting to work with kids who she was once
like. She enjoys swimming because it is a great sport full of not
only tough practices geared towards improvement, but also life
lessons you couldn't learn anywhere else.
Coach Emily is a Junior Business Administration and Marketing major
from Parkersburg, West Virginia and is on Fairmont State’s
Swim Team. She has been swimming since the age of ten and swam for
the Parkersburg YMCA Sharks and Parkersburg South High School.
Aside from FAST, Emily has also coached with the Parkersburg
Country Club Swim Team and coached the FAST Rock Lobsters summer
Emily is a breaststroke swimmer and is proud to be a member of
the 2018 Mountain East Conference Championship Team. She enjoys of
swimming because of her ability to compete, set goals to improve
on, and turn an individual sport into a team sport. Her favorite
thing about coaching is getting to relive her childhood memories of
being on a club team and watching kids learn valuable skills to
help them grow as athletes.
