The heart and soul of MESA Aquatics is our experienced coaching staff.  With almost 50 years of coaching experience at all levels from Novice all the way to Olympic Class athletes, they are here to support your needs. If your questions are related to workouts, meets, events, goal setting, and other swimming related needs, please contact one of the coaches.

Adrian Dinis

Coach Adrian Dinis comes to MESA Aquatics with a ton of experience, both as a swimmer and coach.  As primarily an IM and Backstroke specialist, he was a 12x All-American in High School and earned a swimming scholarship to Brighman Young University.  He later transferred to California State University at Northridge, where he also swam on swimming scholarship and was a 4x PCSC All-Conference swimmer over the span of two years, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications.  
As a coach, Adrian was the co-founder, Head Age Group Coach and Head Coach of Rattler Swim Club, where his swimmers consistently were Top 10 in Southern California Swimming as well as Top 10 Nationally and RTLR consistently cracked the Top 5 at Junior Olympics.  He has seen his swimmers go on to get recruited to swim at colleges all over the United States, and have qualified for Junior Nationals, Senior Nationals, US Open and US Olympic Trials.    He's even had two swimmers on the US National Team and a third swimmer was 2x American Record Holder.  Adrian also coached Bishop Alemany High School in Mission Hills for over ten years (2004-2015).  Over the course of the next ten years, Alemany swimmers took home the Mission League Championship 3x, qualified multiple swimmers for CIF every season, 25 All-Americans, countless CIF Finalists, 5 CIF Champions, and 7 USA Swimming Scholastic All-Americans.  
Additionally, Coach Adrian also served as the Southern California Swimming Diversity Chair, Coastal Committee Age Group Chair, Coastal Committee Diversity Chair, and is currently the Coaches Representative for Eastern Committee.  He has been selected for the North American Challenge Cup Staff 3x (2008, 2009, 2010) and the Southern California Swimming Swim Festival 4x (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012).  He lives in Menifee with his two daughters, Brynlie and Baylor.  

 

Jason Davis

Coach Jason has over 16 years of coaching experience and is a certified ASCA Level 3 Age Group coach. His previous experience coaching has been with some of the top programs in the country, such as:  Nashville Aquatic Club, a USA Swimming Gold Medal club every year since the USA Swimming Club Excellence program began; Excel Aquatics, a Level 4 Club Recognition program and also a Silver Medal club in the the USA Swimming Club Excellence program; and Birmingham Swim League in Birmingham, AL. During his time with Excel Aquatics and Nashville Aquatic Club, he has coached swimmers to be Nationally Ranked in USA Swimming's Top 10 and Top 16 in the country for all age groups. His primary focus for success is as follows:  1) Commitment to Excellence  2) Enjoy what you're doing  3) Work together to build something great.

Coach Jason is married and has 1 daughter. He has a Masters of Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Belmont University where he studied the music industry. His hobbies include golf and Alabama football (Roll Tide!).

Alexander Mareda

Coach Alex began swimming competetively in Hawaii at the age of four. His family moved to Temecula where he swam for the Temecula Swim Club from 2000-2008.  Coach Alex swam varsity all four years at Great Oak High School where he was a multi year CIF Qualifier and Finalist specializing in Breastroke. With over 10+ years of Open Water Swimming experience, Coach Alex competes at multiple Open Water venues through out Southern California every year. In 2015, he was the La Jolla Gatorman Men's 19-24 Division Winner. 

Prior to Mesa, Coach Alex was a Lifeguard/Swim Instructor for the Pechanga Band of Mission Indians, and an Age Group/Senior Assistant Coach for the Temecula Swim Club for two years. While at both TMEC and MESA Aquatics, Coach Alex has coached numerous SCS Age Group Top Time Qualifiers. Coach Alex was selected to the SCS All Star Festival Coaching Staff twice, in 2016 & 2018.

At the age of 22, Coach Alex took over as Head Boy's Swimming Coach at Temescal Canyon High School in Lake Elsinore, CA. Under his leadership, the Titan Boys became back to back Sunbelt League Champions in 2017 & 2018. In his first year there, he lead the Titan Boys to a perfect season (10-0-0 Overall), as well as two 2017 CIF SS DIII Champion Relay Teams.
