Cheri Lynn Krawczyk

My name is Cheri Krawczyk and I am pleased to be the  Aquatics Director at the Tri-Cities Family YMCA. I have been an avid swimmer since childhood; competing year round on swim teams. Was a four year varsity swimmer on Navarre high school and swam for University of West Florida College.  Competed in 400 yard relay, 100 & 200 IM, 100 & 200 breast stroke. My career with the Y has spanned 14 years.   I started with the Y in Fort Walton and Pensacola, Florida as a lifeguard and swim instructor, before moving into Aquatics Coordinator and then transiting into Aquatics Director. It was there that I started coaching for the Y-swim as well as the Fort Walton high school. When I transferred to the New Orleans YMCA, I was the Regional Aquatics Director over seven Y locations. While I was Director at the New Orleans Association, I started the first Y-USA league as well as USA swim team. I have been a USA swimming coach since 2009. In my time at the Fort Lauderdale YMCA Association, I was part of the Weston rec swim team, USA league and high school swimming clinics. When I am not at work you can find me swimming, walking my husky, fishing, in the gym or just being active. I am always up for a new adventure and am looking forward to growing the aquatics programs along with moving the mission of the YMCA forward!

Assistant Coach

Began coaching in 1970 (anyone recall that year??) and have
been hooked ever since.

Philosophy: Teach life lessons about hard work, dedication and dealing with graceful winning and losing.  Success will be different for each swimmer.  The common thread in TEAM effort is doing it together, supporting each other and giving your best to have a positive time in and out of the pool.

I am honored to work with each swimmer/athlete, watching their confidence and ability build with each lap of the pool.
