
Kimberly Evans

A Stingray swimmer for 13 years,
Coach Kim was a member of the RY National Team and represented her
non-pool school Cocalico at High School Districts and States.
She attended Bloomsburg University where she earned a BS in Special
Education, became a 12-time All American, 5-time PSAC Champion,
record holder, team captain and most recently a member of the
Athletic Hall of Fame. While teaching Special Education at
Cocalico for 6 years she earned her Master’s Degree from
Millersville University in Elementary Education and acquired over
20 years of coaching experience with various teams including
Cocalico High School, Ugly Duckling, Five Star, Woodridge Summer
Swim Club and her current summer team the Adamstown Gators.
Kim can be found on deck at almost any time but mainly coaches the
Gold group. Coach Kim’s children Olivia and Sidney are
currently swimming for Towson and West Point
respectively.

Scott Williams

Coach Scott will be coaching the
Bronze and Silver groups. He has coached in Connecticut and
PA. In Connecticut, he coached four seasons for the Copper
Valley Swim Club and five years at the Cheshire YMCA. When
Scott moved to Reading in 1992, he helped coach at Ugly Duckling
and then became the head coach for Wyomissing Area High School for
2 seasons. Coach Scott grew up swimming in Cheshire,
CT. He was a member of the YMCA team and competed at
Nationals. He also swam for Cheshire High School and helped
lead them to two State Championships as well as being elected team
captain his senior year. As a 4-year member of the Boston
College swim team, Scott contributed to their winning tradition in
the freestyle and butterfly events. Coach Scott has a
Master’s Degree in Education and teaches 5th grade
in Emmaus School District. He resides in Wyomissing Hills
with his wife Betsy (a former stingray) and their daughters Ellie
and Annie.

Kelly Skiptunas

Coach Kelly started swimming at the age of 9 in St. Petersburg,
FLA. She was a sprint freestyler holding school records in
the 50 and 100 yard freestyle, as well as, the Florida state record
in the 13-14 50 meter Freestyle. Kelly competed in high school
state meets and was a member of a winning relay for Junior
Nationals her senior year. Kelly swam for Florida State
University and has coached the Adamstown Gator summer team for 4
seasons. Coach Kelly has two children, Katie and
Charlie. Coach Kelly will be coaching the Gold and Silver
groups this season.

Adam Kurtz

Adam can be seen helping with just about all the
practice groups. He graduated from Albright College
where he holds the 200 fly record 1:55.79, was former 100 fly
record holder 51.89 and swam to 7 individual championship titles
along with 3 consecutive team championships. Adam has a Bachelor of
Science degree in Psychobiology and currently works as a BHRS
Administrator of PA Counseling services. Adam swam for RY for
10 years and was a member of the National Team. He also
represented his non-pool school of Hamburg at Districts and
States

Jen Woods

Coach Jen Woods started swimming at the age
of 9. After participating in a Reading Y Spring Clinic at the age
10, she became an official Stingray for 8 years representing
at Championships and Districts. Jen also swam for Governor Mifflin
High School, representing at Championships and Districts, Kutztown
University and Ken Grill and Crestwood Summer Swim Teams. Her
favorite events were 200 IM and 100 backstroke, along with distance
freestyle events. After Jen finished competing in college, she
continued her love of the sport by teaching swimming and stroke
development at local swim programs. Jen received a B.A. from
Kutztown University and is now the Developmental Disabilities
Eligibility Manager for Berks County working for Service, Access
and Management, Inc. Jen, her husband, and 2 children, live in
Sinking Spring. Her daughter is a current RY Team Member, and her
son is a past Team Member.

Gabriella Johnson

Coach Gabbie Johnson
was a member of the Reading YMCA swim team for 5 years as
well as Governor Mifflin high school representing at both districts
and states. She graduated in May of 2020 from
Shippensburg University with a Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration with a major in Marketing and minor in
coaching. At Shippensburg, Coach Gabbie was a part of
both the Women’s Volleyball team and Swim
team. She was a two-time PSAC Champ in the 100yd and
200yd breaststroke and qualified for NCAA’s her junior and
senior year, earning Academic All-American Honors. In
April 2020 she was named Shippensburg University Female Athlete of
the year and has been nominated for NCAA Woman of the year
award. Currently, Coach Gabbie is a graduate assistant
in academics and compliance while pursuing her masters degree in
Sports Management at Millersville University
