Summer Team Info

The Nazareth Narwhals is a summer league team run by BLUE Eagle Swim Team. The Narwhal Season goes approximately from late May to the end of July. Practices are offered 5 days per week.  All practices will be between the Borough Park and the Nazareth Middle School. We have a 4 meet dual season schedule for 2021. Those dates are 7/1, 7/6, 7/13 and 7/20. More info about the meets is coming soon.

Ok Narwhal Families - we know what is on everyone's mind...COVID-19

As in everything in life, each day can bring new challenges. BLUE has been running aquatic programming since last summer, yes the summer of 2020, so we have developed many procedures we feel help keep everyone as safe as possible. You and your family's safety is of the utmost importance to us! If you join us at the pool this summer, all participants and their families will be required to follow our rules including wearing masks...sorry, no exceptions!

There is a one time charge of $150 per swimmer per season. Multi-swimmer family discount is as follows:

  • 2 athletes – $30 off
  • 3 athletes – $65 off
  • 4 athletes – $120 off
  • 5 athletes - $150 off

There is a $75 workbond per family due by the first practice. No check is cashed unless you do not fulfill your volunteer obligation.

For Summer 2021, we are looking to develop a NARWHAL ADVISORY   COMMITTEE that will oversee all team activities. This committee will work in cooperation with the Coaches and BLUE Staff to ensure a successful season :) 

Swimmers whose parent(s) serve on the committee swim for FREE.

The positions are:

Meet Statistician - attend league meetings as required and man the laptop (hytek meet software) at all meets; Current Chair: Heather Major

Volunteer Coordinator - manage volunteers and sign ups for all meets/team events, track participation for workbond purposes; Current Chair: Aneysa Feliciano

Concession Stand Coordinator - create donation list and manage set up for all home meets and coordinate the food/drinks for the end of year celebration; Current Chair: Sarah Greenway

Team Events Coordinator - schedule team social events and manage fundraisers; Current Chair: Natalie Carey

Another VERY important role we need parents to fill is becoming a Stroke & Turn official or Starter. This is a great way to learn more about the sport and have up close poolside view at every meet you volunteer at. Getting certified requires a couple of steps as listed here:

  • Email expressing your intention to get certified.
  • Starters and Stroke and Turn information and testing will be available at
  • Once you complete your test, please forward a screen shot of your test results to us.
  • If you are already a High School Official, USA or YMCA Official, please forward a copy of your certifications.
  • Swimmers in an Officials' family pay 1/2 price. The credit will be given after you complete your volunteer requirement. Once we have our needed number of Officials, we will not accept more submissions of certification.
