The Greenbrier Country
Club (GCC) Seahawks are a member of the Virginia Beach Swim League
(VBSL). The Seahawks and the VBSL promote competitive and fun
summer swimming. The VBSL consists of over 20 teams devoted to the
development of summer swimming in the Southeastern Hampton Roads
area. The teams are divided into 3 Divisions (Dolphin, Marlin,
& Porpoise) based on “time-in-water” calculations.
This division and grouping provides an equitable level of
competition for teams and swimmers. We are in the Porpoise
division.
Swimmers compete in five age groups : 6, 8, 10,
12, 14, and 18 & Under.
Younger swimmers are encouraged to
participate in our developmental program, and can start
competing when they are ready. All skill levels are
welcome to participate in Team social activities.
Swimmers must have Greenbrier Club
Affiliation. Club family member, including visiting
grandchildren or family members of club employee are welcome.
